Ctrl key bypasses laptop function and lets keypress happen. Doesnt on yours? Then you need to edit the keybind config for ahk.

Move rockstar games folder from documents to desktop and then start game you'll find all the save files gone don't be worried close game and then go inside rockstar games folder then gta folder then profiles and then profile name and then move the sgta file in the folder to the rocktar games folder in documents which got created and put in the same location

Go to the game files directory then go to properties then compatibility and make sure that GTAV and PlayGTAV don't have administrator on launch

If they don't have it or it doesn't work then disable battleye in the Rockstar launcher settings and relaunch the game which will then show you the actual error

Hey, uh I can't boot gta no more, yesterday I was doing a HSW upgrade and all of sudden the game crashes anytime I attempt to re boot it, it takes me to the selcetion menu betweeen online story and gta+ regardless of what I click it immedaitly closes itself. Do you have overlay running like discord or tuner software? What operating system? Make sure Microsoft Edge Update tasks are end-tasked from task manager as well. Your gta5 log files might show exactly what the error is if its gta5 causing it. If windows is causing it then your gta5 logs probably look fine but ended without error written.

Just fixed this issue of someone, go to documents move rockstar games folder to desktop it contains only offline story mode save game if you don't bother then delete it, start game your settings will be default, set it later

I optimized everything and set everything on the lowest point so it can run well after the stupid update. Game ran decent since until 5 hours ago when it decided to not load into sessions

I know you might think using the lowest settings would make it easier for your PC to run the game, but I would suggest choosing the option to optimize the settings in the Nvidia app just to get the game running. You can later adjust some of the settings lower.

But, honestly, I tried absolutely everything.

I did do that , I think it's just time to call it quits on the laptop . If a single update crashes it then there's no point in playing it anymore

At one point, after working with R * Support for 6 days, I found on my own that Enhanced would start if I set in Windows Settings for my laptop to use the integrated graphics for GTA. The game actually did use the GPU, but that somehow allowed it to start.

Later, to fix Legacy, I deleted the Rockstar Games folder. I also started the game from the R* Games Launcher rather than Epic Games Launcher. Earlier, I switched the power settings to Performance instead of Balanced.

I could go back and test things even more to determine which factors made the difference, but troubleshooting my laptop has taken too much time already.

I tried rolling back to older driver versions, running off a different SSD partition, resetting my laptop 2 different ways, uninstalling the driver using DDU and dozens of other things.

I think some others here know a lot more than I do and probably could help you better.

The only reason why it would run as background and not actually load is due to missing dependenciea for microsoft visual studio C++. Which 2008 through 2012 is obsolete and you need to download and install the 2015-2022 vcredist installer exe and install it, or force install it over top of itself and then reboot pc and end task on microsoft edge update processes and then try again. You may also need to reboot your pc 3 times to make sure a windows update isnt pending for install. Visit below ms link and scroll down, then download the installer for your system, x64 or intel x86. If unsure, just get the x64. After install, reboot pc 3 times to desktop then close ms edge update tasks and try loading game. I’m having trouble playing GTA 5 Enhanced Edition. The game launches normally, but after I choose story mode, the first cutscene with the bank robbery starts and after about 2–5 seconds the game freezes. The same thing happens in online mode. For example, after selecting a role, bank, warehouse, vehicles, or weapons, I start the game and it freezes on the Rockstar terms of service acceptance screen.

I re-installed launcher and game, tried couple times to start. After that I deleted cache with your just right you told.

Either is gta5 cache, mod files in the way, missing visual studio 2015 - 2022 vcredist dependencies, or its the video card.

0x000 isnt a gta5 error. So that is weird

I guess it wouldnt hurt to verify/fix your dependencies as a test, if u cannot find another error code than that 0x000..

and the dsound.dll present in C drive can not be changed in any way bcz its microsoft important file

my gta V steam app is on drive D not C

in the drive D gta V file there is not dsound.dll
