i contacted Rockstar support and they told me to verify the files on the Rockstar Games launcher since thats the version i have, i did that, launched the game, got the landing page, loaded up online and it worked

Additional info in detail:

I've had GTA5 since almost 5 years now and took like a 2 year break of playing the game and in the meanwhile I got a new pc...
Now my problem is, that in those 5 years, my email adress which is linked to my rockstar games account is not accessible anymore, meaning I cant verify my login, leading to me loosing all of my progress
I can't contact Rockstar games support directly because being honest.. their support is bad
Creating a new account wouldnt work either because i cant login to the launches because the other account is linked to my steam so it wont let me login
Is there any fricking way to contact rockstar games or to change that or does anyone know someone working at rockstar games so I can maybe get my stuff back???
I'm not really willing to get progress of 700h back ._.
I have some stuff which you can't get anymore and I would like to keep it

(It got fixed after I changed the graphic settings and then back to normal) So I joined some guys for races on my xbox series x version of gta 5 which I downloaded from the store with no disc, and after like 2 hours of playing I experienced this, my game started lagging right after the race countdown started and the shadows also started glitching out on my car and everywhere. I bought the console 4 days ago and seen minimal to no problems whatsoever and the lag along with the graphical artifacts/glitches went away after changing from performance rt to fidelity and to performance rt again, there was a big freeze at the start of the race and then my game just started having lag spikes and playing in less then 20 fps, is this a known glitch or is my console already having problems (also the sound was cut off because I was also in the party with some guys and I was accessing my recording section so I could capture this)

I changed one setting in the graphics settings while loaded into the story mode, and then joined a private online session. I'm currently on for 10 minutes without any crash, try it and maybe it will work for you too (I changed the anisotropic filtering option)

what's your framerate? If it's too high the game can't load the world fast enough, so it halts for a bit as a safeguard

that's assuming it stutters while moving throughout the map. if there's no stutter when standing still, then that's your issue

Sadly a lot of game logic is processed frame-to-frame without regard for timing

I have no idea how you'd even go about doing that. You could tweak your graphics card voltage, power, memory clock or core clock but I think that'll just result in crashes instead of graphical glitches.

This server's really touchy about letting users upload images/video

I had an R9 290X that gave me graphical glitches in Red Dead 2, because the PSU couldn't power the overclocked memory, it was fucking bizarre. That card was horrible

yes it does, even if u launch into story mode from the landing page it doesn’t show the image

check your default audio input/output through the window settings while ur controller is connected, sometimes connecting wirelessly makes ur pc think the controller itself can be used to output sound as it might be an unrecognised device so u just need to switch that back to ur headset

just disconnect ur controller using the “forget device” option

plug it in with a cable and connect it with a wire first so it recognises it

and then change the input and output settings if needed to ur headset
