I changed rockstar accounts recently and bought the game through rockstar game launcher, however whenver I try to launch it through steam it still tries to use the CD key from when I bought it through steam before I changed accounts. is there any way to fix this? I linked my new rockstar account and steam account

Hi! Back in 2020/2021 I was playing a lot of GTA online with my friends. At the time, only one had a PS5. I'm still on PS4, and apparently you can't play online together now if using different console generations? Did they change this, or has it always been this way? How did we work around this? If they transferred their character to the new version before June 2023 then it got deleted on PS4
Also they don't need to get their PS4 again since you can still play the PS4 version on PS5 with backwards compatibility
It's just that the PS5 version or what the community calls Current Gen can't play with the PS4 version called Last Gen
But the PS4 version still launches on PS5 fine

Where can I locate my Rockstar Activation Code for Steam?
Start by opening Steam > Library > Right click on GTAV in the list of avaliable games > Manage > CD Keys
After grabbing the key, make sure to insert it in the Rockstar Activation Code window and it should work.
If the code you inserted was incorrect or already used, then you need to contact Steam Support or Rockstar Support to get a new key or resolve the issue.

Yeah this happened to me a lot, this usually happens when you press the Win key while in-game. The fix is to run this game in windowed borderless. I did that and never had any more issues.

It can be multiple issues. First of all, can you log-in to your social club account on any browser? If yes, then it is launcher issue. Launcher might be blocked by firewall or something along the way.

Why are my license plates not shown in LSC, half of them are there but the other half isn't. And I can delete and order, even put on the vehicle I chose, but they won't show up in LSC in general. It feels as if there was a max cap, although you were allowed to have 30 plates.

i dont know if i got attacked by a boosting service but what happened was i logged into gta online, went outside, and suddenly i got this "CircoLoco Records Blue EP" text on my screen, bottom left corner texts "New media unlocked: CircoLoco Records Blue EP" and "CircoLoco Records: EP 1 of 4 collected" while a loud rankup or collect sound played repeatedly, i went from level 32 up to 300 before my game crashed, what could this mean?
also, after logging back the levels are gone, probably due to the crash

So what happens is
The boosting service gives you way too much content that the game can't display and gets extremely overloaded then crashes and doesn't have time to save
It can sometimes save depending on how overloaded it gets but most of the time it doesn't go through

Hey, i need to talk to somebody at Rockstar... my game bugged out after i spun the lucky wheel... It landed on the car and my character just stood there for almost 3 minutes until I was finally able to control it again and i never got the car, and i got a message above the map saying: Saving Failed - unable to connect to Rockstar game services... i got pictures of everything as well.

@wet raptor you need an arcade to start the diamond heist. you buy it in the foreclosure app on ur phone. if you cant see arcades go to the green H on the map and it will be unlocked after the cutscene

found an older version of the game exe but it still goes through the rockster games launcher which complains, is there any way around this? there is a mod that supposedly bypasses the rockstar launcher but some AVs flag it on virustotal so i'm not entirely comfortable running that. so, is it possible to find a version of the game from 2013 then, or whatever the last version without said launcher is?
