hey i have sort of an issue w/ getting on gta online. im on xbox series s and theres gta v and then gta v online as separate games. when i use gta v online i load into online seamlessly but when i try it from gta v story mode it prompts me to make a new character even though i have one already. i dont know how to get past this, and i cant accept any invs to online unless i can access it from gta v and not gta v online 😭

as far as I know that's an issue with your account connecting to rockstar for the purchase. (the $2000) a similar problem happens when buying armor and ammo in heist screens. A simple fix is to force the game to connect and save thru the interaction menu bu changing item of clothing or buying ammo thru inventory etc.
to get out of that partuclar stuck situation open social club and join a friend in game

There's no need to get worked up about the platform name they incorrectly used. If they don't accept your Steam ID as proof of GTA IV ownership, they'll let you know. By the way, make sure to request an email change instead of an unlinking. Asking for an email change will allow you to retain access to and play the game. Although I didn’t have to Hard Work. The thing that was stopping me from signing in was the Antivirus I installed. I deleted it and now its working properly. I would suggest you to Turn off your fire wall defender or any other Anti-Virus that you have. And don’t forget to Restart the Pc after turning off the defenders

if you have Nvidia graphics card you can set the windowed borderless option through geforce but l'm pretty sure you can do it in game as well

If only your Social Club account was hijacked and not the email account itself, there's a high chance that you have an email waiting in your inbox (from: [e-mail]) informing you about the email change when it occured. That email should include a link to undo the change and regain control of your account if it was done without your consent

that issue happened to me twice.

• first time i used a vpn to launch rockstar launcher and it got a update, worked fine after, for some reason i think my ip was blocked.
• second time i had to give permission for rockstar launcher to access gtaV folders, just in case i gave a permission to every folder/app had "rockstar".

worked fine after, and doesn't ask to be run as administrator anymore.
