Could me because when your first launch gta it may be assumed as a background app therefore not enough usage is going towards it. Then when you tab out and in it will be assumed as the main one and will be prioritised

I'd try to help you troubleshoot but I saw this message literally right before going to sleep so I'll just give you the default answer in hopes you havent tried some of it and it may help

Verify Integrity of game files (different on each launcher, method depends on whether you're on steam, epic or RGL)
Update your drivers
Update your operating system
Make sure you're not trying to launch the game with any mods installed/running
If all else fails, check if your RAM has gone bad as that can cause those random crashes/reboots. A tool for this comes pre-installed with windows 10 so you dont even need to install or download anything.

I know this isn’t the exact server for this question, but I am having sound issues on my PC. I use an Elgato Wave 3 Microphone and Elgato Wave Link and my inputs/outputs are all messed up. Kind of complicated, but if my stream can hear it, I can’t and vice versa. It seems I can’t get my headphones to work through the Elgato Wave Link software. I am at work but if anyone wants to help me later on, that would be great. I used to have it working a couple weeks ago but something happened to mess it up. Let me know if you can help out. Ok.. so after years of not playing my friends and I decided to start playing again. I have a character that I created long ago but am unable to use with their characters for some reason. On my series X I have the full GTAV game including online, and then just the GTA Online. Here is the issue. My GTA Online character is the my main one that was made years ago, has all my money etc on it. However it will not allow me to join any friends. It is greyed out. I can see friends, but can't join them and they can't join me. I have even tried the work around of going to crews, etc and it still doesn't work. If I go to my xbox friends list and join game it opens the full GTAV game. My character there isn't the same and I can't load or find my main character. I can however join them and play with my low level character. Has anyone ran into this? Anyone know a fix? My rockstar social club shows my older character only, not the newer one.

Pretty much. My old character however is only available if I use the GTA Online (online only) game on my xbox series x but I can't join any friends. If I am using the full GTAV version (xbox one version including online) my character is not available but I can join friends with a new character.
