I've been playing on it for a few months but I never noticed until now that benny's isn't showing on the map and that I can't go inside it and customyze my car. When I am at the gate, the game tells me to go see Lamar's icon, but the problem is that it doesn't show on the map. I can call Lamar and request him a thief. Hello, Im trying to do some cleanup between all my sc accounts and my situation is a bit complicated but ill try to explain as best i can

So 5+ years ago i bought GTA5 on Steam which i linked to a sc account with SC Nickname: "X". When GTA5 went free on the Epic Games Store i for some reason Linked it to a different sc account with sc Nickname: "Y"( this one )

I got used to play with the epic games sc account ("Y") and found that it was kinda stupid i couldn't play with the same character through steam cuz my steam version was linked to a different sc account ( "X" )

after some research I was able to succesfully unlink my steam acc from the sc account it was linked too ( "X" ) thanks to Rstar support

here's the issue. with my steam account not linked anymore to any sc account i though i could link it back to the same one of my epic games sc account ( "Y" ) so i could play gta 5 through steam and epic with the same character

After i redownloaded gta 5 on steam i was able to link the correct account sc account to it ( "Y" ). Altho when getting into game through steam the game asks to "activate grand theft auto 5". so when i try to do that it says activation code already in use. Altho i did buy on steam tho?

But i think to know why this does this and i hope you can tell me if im correct on this. 5+ years ago i bought gta 5 through steam and linked it to sc account with nickname ("X") => i suppose this basically means that i own gta5 on that sc account through steam right?

And is that why when i try to launch it through with my new sc account now ( "Y" ) that it asks to activate gta 5 => becuz i technically don't own it yet throught steam on that sc account? but i do own it through epic games?

Here's the big final question. Is it possible to rebuy gta5 on steam (again) so i can activate the steam version for sc account "Y"?

@warm narwhal When you unlink GTA V from your social club account, you lose the game forever. You can’t move it to another social club account. That means you wasted that copy of the game.

You might be able to get a new copy of the game on Steam and link it to your “Y” account. But I think you would need Steam’s help. The Steam store may not let you buy the game again if you already have it. They would have to delete the game from your library first.

I've played gta5 on this pc before but I had to reinstall the windows on my pc so I downloaded the game through epic games again. At first when I tried to open the game I got an error that said a dll file is missing. After 10 minutes I fixed it but then another error came that I can't understand cause I've never met this before. When I launch the game, it wants to open the rockstar games launcher as it always did before. But when the black window appears with a signal that says "connecting to rockstar game services" it just freezes and does nothing anymore. What's wrong with it? I cant get it and its really annoying cause as I said nothing changed, I just reinstalled the windows, therefore the game as well.

And the reason that its annoying me is that its the same pc with the same system so I really don't understand the whole thing

It would mean a lot if someone would help me cause I really dont know what to do with this
