Usually all mod menus will be able to tell is your ip address, so at the very best they should only know the city u live in and often times it will show the incorrect city

Idk the crashing could be modders but idk as long as you can log into you social club account then your account probably isn’t corrupted

If your social club account gets corrupted while you are playing you will get a message says that it cant find your save data from the rockstar server or something along the lines of that that is the message i got before i just forced me back to single player and then when i tried to join an inv only again as soon press it it say the rockstar server are down right now please try again later

Hello, I play GTA V singleplayer...I've noticed something weird...soo when I go to settings and tweak with any settings related to graphics, there will be pop up saying restart to load the sttings somethin like that...once I hit restart...the game never starts again...it will run in background...it doesn't take any CPU or GPU pwoer...it will take some fair bit of ram usage less than 0.10mb...if I close it throught task manager and open it again...the settings won't be set to how I wanted...any help? please @ me

yes I do run somee decent PC specs....but I have 8GB ram and a hard drive...I thought that was the issue but it has to start at some point and it's been more than 20 mins

Do you run it in full screen, or window (windowed full screen is still window).
Try changing that first, before changing other graphics settings

even they are bugged for me...everytime I open game it opens in weird small resolution, but the options area always set to windowed full screen...and after changing it once it will revert...even for windowed full screen I can technically use my mouse outside the game

Only thing I can think of trying, is to delete your "Rockstar Games" folder from My Documents. If there's anything saved in there that would interfere with your settings, it should fix it. Otherwise it's a R* support ticket (and goodluck with that then 😄 )

Usually HDD issues cause stuttering. But it could be your GPU.

Try to lower the settings, if that doesn't resolve it move the game to your other drives/run a files check from the game launcher.

Or buy an SSD and enjoy much-faster loading times. 🙂

@sick girder I'm running it on my HDD but it's a very fast one with plenty of cache - FireCuda 4 TB. It also could be your GPU thermals causing the stutter/freezes.

I've had both issues and it was one or the other - not in GTA but in other games.

Run a FurMark for 30 min and see if your PC freezes. Free/portable program.

Load it on your 1440p or 4k, or whatever resolution you're using.

If that holds up - it's the HDD.

And ofc try to update your video card drivers to the latest first, run a game files check from the Social Club launcher or Steam.

How long the issue been happening? Obviously starting with the basics make sure you're online (check if other games allow you to go online). I've heard on console if you close the game completely from the xbox menu and reopen it then go online that will fix it too sometimes.

You could try setting your xbox as the DMZ host in your router. That bypasses any network firewalls. I wouldn't keep it that way permanently but it will tell you if it's a network firewall issue on your end blocking it at the bare minimum. To do that just google "how to set DMZ host (whatever model router you have)"

i just fixed it, restart your pc, once it starts back up disconnect from your router or hotspot and then re connect to it, and then sit for a few seconds then re-open the launcher!

Hello, I am experiencing problem with the GTA 5 in general. When I try to play single-player or online or even FiveM, I have wierd blue, red and green texture glitches and after some time i get almost whole screen white glitch and moment after my game is not responding. I tried to reinstall the game, reinstall the windows, reinstall the drives and nothing helps. That problem started a few days ago (3/4). 1. When I turn off my monitor, it would exit full screen and force my refresh rate to 60 when I enter full screen again.
2. Sometimes when entering full screen again, my character would appear stretched wide.

I think you should reset your settings and change the settings which caused issues and leave the rest to default

only resolution seems to fix it; it has to be the same as desktop resolution and not fullscreen mode but window borderless. also i have directx instead of vulkan in rdr2, some of the settings put to ultra after benchmark i've put to high or normal
