If the mission ended after you died, then iirc you lose all stock and supplies, and you'll need to do the start up mission again to restart it. You don't lose the actual business tho.

if you don't want to buy it you can get a sparrow instead but if you include the cost of the kosatka that you need first, and the sparrows missiles upgrade it's way more expensive
