IDK what hotkey it is for you, but opening my rockstar menu in game is the HOME button on my Keyboard and from there it should tell you whether your connected or not once youve loaded up to the main menu.

if ur launching on the launcher, it should've not make you login on epic games, same as steam you just need to have steam running on the background and play on the launcher

If you reloaded some cloud save that you didn't finish the prologue on, you may be on a fresh story save and have to redo that if your cloud wasn't updated for some reason.

You won't be able to accidentally delete your online character from redoing the proglue or any story mode stuff. Your online character is a server based save where your story mode is local.

@keen garnet There is an on-going bug affecting PC only where the Casino Heist will kick players after reaching the mantrap tunnel.

You can prevent yourself from being kicked by going to Settings > Graphics then set VSync to Half and enable 60Hz refresh rate. This will enable a 30fps cap which prevents the bug from happening.

Note: All players must use the following graphics settings to cap their fps to 30

You can also use apps like RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server) to setup a hotkey to cap GTA5.exe to 30fps.

Alternatively, the bug seems less likely to happen when there are more than 2 players in the heist.
