i think there's a scripted traffic event in that spot of a car pulling out of the parking lot, so it may have spawned inside your jet while you were in the armor menu and it blew up as a result of having a car clipping into it

Question About Vehicle Color Effects on Handling & Jump Physics

Has anyone else noticed that certain paint types seem to affect the handling or behavior of specific vehicles?

While practicing jumps with the Vigilante, I noticed that having the crew color applied made the car noticeably harder to control in the air, more bouncy on curbs, and unstable on landing. Switching to Chameleon and then Matte drastically improved stability and made it feel more predictable.

I haven’t tested Chrome or Metal paints yet — but I’m starting to wonder if paint types or even neons can subtly influence vehicle physics in GTA Online.

So I wanted to ask:

• Can paint types actually affect vehicle physics like downforce, weight distribution, or bounce?
• Could the crew neon also have an impact versus regular neon lights?
• I’ve heard some racers only run neon on the front or back of their cars to shift weight — is that still relevant in current metas?
• And apparently, some top-tier racers claim that Matte paint offers better lap times due to improved cornering — any truth to this?

Would appreciate any insight or tests you've done on this — especially if there's a meta behind paint choices most people overlook.

There is an on-going bug affecting PC only where the Casino Heist will kick players after reaching the mantrap tunnel.

You can prevent yourself from being kicked by going to Settings > Graphics then set VSync to Half and enable 60Hz refresh rate. This will enable a 30fps cap which prevents the bug from happening.

Note: All players must use the following graphics settings to cap their fps to 30

You can also use apps like RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server) to setup a hotkey to cap GTA5.exe to 30fps.

Alternatively, the bug seems less likely to happen when there are more than 2 players in the heist.
