If your timing was off by a little, then you would keep the finale and not get paid but your friend would have gotten paid. I’m currently boosting carnage to get to skill level 20, so my lobby would not work for you, as you need lots of time during the arena war game to spin the wheel 50 times for the award.

If you want to boost spinning the wheel on your own, you would require 3 consoles and 3 PSN accounts with PS+ (like I did yesterday).

There will ABSOLUTELY be a 3+ year gap between GTA 6 coming to console vs PC

Rockstar will NOT just shut down gta 5 online before releasing the sequel game to PC players. Otherwise they literally have no GTA game to use for profit from PC playerbase. It's staying up until at LEAST 2029, and then almost certainly a couple years extra for people who simply dont want to buy 6
