yes its a matter of choice, tho thermal scope is limited to the sniper rifle and some people may prefer to use the advanced scope therefore need to use the thermal helmet

You can start a mission such as Gerald's "Pier Pressure" and go to the Del Perro pier to punch NPCs. You won't get a wanted level. I've heard people say if you stand on top of a bus and stomp on it, it's equivalent to hitting everyone inside.

Or, hit a car that has a player in it.

They're not great for money (except maybe the Auto Shop's Union Depository contract during a 2x week). The Auto Shop contracts and Salvage Yard robberies are fun to try. The Garment Factory's FIB files were okay. I didn't really enjoy the Bail Office's bounties. The Auto Shop does let you customize vehicles without level restriction and with a small discount, I think.

There is an on-going bug affecting PC only where the Casino Heist will kick players after reaching the mantrap tunnel.

You can prevent yourself from being kicked by going to Settings > Graphics then set VSync to Half and enable 60Hz refresh rate. This will enable a 30fps cap which prevents the bug from happening.

Note: All players must use the following graphics settings to cap their fps to 30

You can also use apps like RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server) to setup a hotkey to cap GTA5.exe to 30fps.

Alternatively, the bug seems less likely to happen when there are more than 2 players in the heist.

Optional ones are Reinforced Armor if you want some extra protection at the cost for some movement speed
Power Drills if you're gonna do 4 players and going for the Deposit Boxes

Would highly recommend you do the Preps with 2 players since alot of them needs to carry 2 items and you can only carry 1 thing
