They don't have sessions. There are two servers and upto 800 people in one.

They use a great but also little annoying kind of mechanism where the players near your location are loaded in alongside you, but all the others on the map aren't.

So it's not heavy on the server or client side

Also, RSM is dedicated servers, not p2p.

Pretty much everything not made in 2008 is dedicated servers
