A giant outbreak happened and basically every single cheat service had the ability to add billions, take away money (even into negative numbers), add and set ranks globally to all players, as well as changing your name as well as entirely having your system info, geo location, and everything else, at the tip of anyones fingerprints with enough digging

During that time there was like a 95% chance you'd get into a lobby, get max ranked, 30 - 50bil+ before you even loaded in, and it was server synced too so once you got it, it was done and unchangable

People who had this happen, went to R* support, and every single one of the people who tried to revert it with support got banned. And people who didn't alter or change it, 50 / 50 to get banned or stayed, however almost all of those accounts are on legacy now, unable to transfer any of the two characters becuase one is (cheated) or was cheated at some point
