That's two different topics. What you do is completely subjective. I am only saying what I believe is the right thing to do. If you value your privacy, just don't upload images of your face/IDs. If you don't, go ahead and play the game.

On the topic of R* enforcing facial/ID verification checks, you don't know how transparent they are gonna be with you and they might say things like "Your images are safe with us. We're not gonna use it for malicious means" or something.

I said that because Discord clearly lied about images not leaving your device. They had ties with 5CA and Persona, of which the latter also had ties with Palantir. The former had experienced a data breach, leaking approximately 70,000 government IDs of Discord users. It's very clear that Discord's enforcement of ID/facial verification was a mass surveillance project.

That's why it's difficult for me to trust verification checks like these. That's why I tell people not to engage with apps that enforce such checks. RDO failed due to several things, when it first dropped its P2P design proved inefficient for high player counts, so R* reduced player counts from 32 to 16 at several points. It allowed permanent exposure to PvP and griefing because of its public sessions and no availability of private sessions, and the balancing is mild because of ability cards.
All 5 career paths are locked behind paywalls that require tedious amounts of playtime or purchasing the gold currency for ridiculous amounts of money from R*, also, even though story mode does have the feature of "lawmen remember who you are" it's non existent in online

btw, regarding injuries, a game that has a similar system is Ghost Recon Breakpoint, iirc they're called "critical" injuries (might have the name wrong) that can occur during combat and their occurrence is affected by difficulty, but it was not bad by any means. When such an injury occurs you lose a "chunk" of your health bar (1/3) or two thirds in case you're injured in two different limbs; using bandages, an item that's unlimited on lower difficulties or limited on higher ones (they can be bought and found around the world as well) you can heal these injuries and recover your full HP bar. All in all this system discourages you from directly confronting enemies and instead encourages you to take a stealthy approach, my point is that in case such a system makes its way to GTA 6 it would not be horribly bad, if it makes its way to MP it might as well reduce the amount of drooly griefers and PvPers in public sessions
