To clarify, it only sends a DM message if you react with emojis rather than buttons. Buttons will appear as a hidden message visible only to the person who clicked them.

Also, there will be no option to disable the DM notification message for emojis because we can't make it respond with hidden message like other, so we decided to make it in dms for better quality.

Rather than sending nothing, it dms the user who receives the role and keeps them updated as they get or remove the role. If you do not want to receive notifications, you can disable your server dms. Adding an option may be implemented in the future, but there is no guarantee. Though you can still suggest it in #573053418017521664

Hmm, ok, that is a new feature since I added reaction roles... and, I can see that as very annoying for servers with lots of roles.

Yeah, a lot of people asking about this, but you can use buttons in reaction roles then it will appear as a hidden message visible only to the person who clicked them

So, that is something new too. I had all of my roles as reactions. It saved the 'reactions' but I see options for a button and a select menu too. Does that allow for multiple selections? I have an embed with 20 reactions (Sub-genres for a writing server) and some people will select 1 or 2 and some will select like 18-20.
