you only get the emote (and complete that altar) when you or someone nearby has all of the required mounts/pets/toys/transmogs out at the same time

Sorry if it's been already said, but at the succubus/incubus altar of lust, the naked transmog only worked, when every slot was equipped and transmogged to hidden. I didn't wear a tabard the first time and It only worked, when I put one on and hide it.
The naked toy didn't work for me as well.

So I noticed something about the novels from the steamy romance kit. It can create both permanent books, and conjured ones that last 20 minutes. The conjured ones do NOT seem to count for the altar, only the permanent ones. So you might need to use it a few times to get it to work.

Also, does anyone by chance know if you can help people get credit on altars you have already completed? I tried helping someone get an altar I had the parts for and they couldn't get credit for it even in party with me.

yes, people who have completed the altars already can still help others. I've done it several times, and the only time it's been buggy is as you said, certain romance novels created by the toy don't seem to count

I'm US so I can't personally help but I can recommend buying the Blood Boil pet if you don't have it. It's like 100g or less on both US and EU AH and counts for the blood altar 🙂

Good to know. Thx. I got lucky and still had an alt in SL adventure mode. Switched him over to venthyr, bought and applied the insta 60 renown catchup token (by the flight master in oribos).. a few hours into going through venthyr stuff to get offerings I noticed that they are war bound and I could just transfer some leftovers from my main. Doh. So I almost got it now. 🥳 Thanks for responding to my message!

So what's the deal with the "Void" altar? I'm not getting it to fire (and looking at YouTube comments, I'm not alone). I tried using every combination of Drape of the Drakerider or Void Lord's Wizened Cloak; any number of pets with void in their name; the Void Totem or Ms. S' Music Box: I even tried throwing a voidstrider mount into the mix. Nada.

Bug or is it maybe because I haven't gotten "Sin" done yet? Is there another combo people have tried to get that to fire? I thought it might have been a sequence thing, like I have to do them in order once I start. But then I was able to go back and do "Blood" after the fact. Stumped atm on this and "Sin."

did you still need help with void? When I trigger it for others, I always use lesser voidcaller pet, shadowy disguise or void totem (whichever is off cd for me) and dar'toon's cloak (same model as cloak of the black void). It sounds like you're trying to use the wrong cloak tmog?

the ones I've tried and worked for blood altar are Armored Bloodwing, Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher, Bloodgorged Crawg, and Bloody Skyscreamer. There might be more but my mount collection isn't the greatest

As Fries said, I used the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher and it worked for me. "Blood" was tricky for me for some reason. Not sure why, but it took me a few tries before it finally triggered. Maybe the order matters? I switched out some pets also, and I think it was the Blood Boil that worked for me. GL

Thanks so much! 👏 🌟 You were right. There were two cloaks that came up under " black void," and I was using the Drape of the Drakerider, which is also what all the YouTube guides that I was following were calling for. But when I switched it to the other (a Legion legendary) and used the pet you specified, I got "Void" to work.

So now I just need "Sin," which is going to be a challenge unless there are more options that I can use. This altar is using only a few very specific items, according to the YouTube guides I've been following, all from Revendreth, none of which I have unfortunately. I haven't gone through Shadowlands yet except for the intro. And right now, there's no way for me to get them. I started the campaign but there's a bug that breaks the campaign once one gets to Oribos (no flightmaster and the campaign thread breaks). I made a ticket but they said it's a known issue and that there's no fix as yet and it won't get fixed until the 11.0.7 patch. So right now I'm just parking myself next to that altar hoping someone will come by. I got a late start on this due to the time it took me to get the pets for 5 o'clock.

So if you know of any other items that I can try, I'd love to hear about them. Unfortunately, items with the word sin in them do not seem to be enough. This one altar seems very restricted in its options, much moreso than some of the others.

Usually if the chest doesn't appear it means they haven't completed all of the orbs before 6.

I just want to mention for all the people that are struggling with Lust (Succubus Altar) - you need to have a shirt and tabard equipped too and all items apart from weps and rings/trinkets/neck need to be set to hidden. It works only then. Hope this helps!

I was struggling also, not getting any combination to work. But from Fries' suggestion, what finally worked for me was: Lesser Voidcaller pet; X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus cloak; Void Totem toy

I wasn't able to do "Sin" but some very kind folks (who couldn't do it either) invited me to their group on a high pop realm where there were lots of people working on it, unlike my realm where for hours it was just me and crickets. And that's what I would recommend if people are struggling and not finding help at the times they need it: make a character on a high pop realm and let folks there know what you need and just ask them to invite your character to a group on that realm. The people that helped me just made me group leader and logged off while still in group. And my Alliance character was able to get help by just emoting and pointing to the "Sin" altar and three very kind Horde all came over and completed it for me on that server. It took no time at all while I'd been waiting for hours on end on my realm.

I'll be on later tonight, probably in about five hours, doing some brawls. And though I can't help with "Sin," I should be able to help with any others and can certainly do so between brawls. I'll post later in case anyone on NA realm needs help with "Blood, Lust, Corruption, Void." GL

If I'm in a Brawl, you'd just need to wait until I'm out. They tend to run 10-15 mins with about the same breaks between; so plenty of time to get to ZG and help out if needed.

Can't get lust to finish. I tried mogging to all hidden, took off all my equipment, tried targetting and NOT targetting the succubus/incubus, walking away from altar and back, logging...... it will not show as completed.

just making sure, but you also have the sister of temptation pet out as well as one of the steamy romance novels in your bags? Doing all 3 at once (making sure shirt + tabard mogged to hidden OR using moroes' famous polish toy) should do the trick, but if you're still having trouble I can help you complete it

Yes, Sister is out. I used the romance novel toy but didn't have the book it creates in my bag. I don't have the toy (and, naturally, Moroes isn't in any of my garrisons currently -- just got through checking). But, yes, EVERYTHING was hidden when I was wearing my gear. EVERYTHING was in my bags when I wasn't. So, perhaps I need the book in my bag when I use the Steamy Romance toy?

yeah you need one of the steamy romance novels in your bags, whether that's from the romance novel toy or actual book from the AH. I feel sometimes a book created from the toy version doesn't count (might be buggy idk) so I just kept an actual copy from the AH in my bags when I go back to help others with altars

JUST completed it. It didn't like the Steamy romance novel toy. It wanted the book sold by Cravitz Lorint, the Shady Book Dealer (found him under the transmog stage at Anniv. Celebration). I just read the damn book to the demon when the toy didn't work.

@anzux_ you can help someone after you have finished all altars as long as you have looted the chest. Your torch will not channel an altar until all steps are complete

Apologies as I'm sure somebody has asked this but the thread is simply too long. Seriously struggling on Throbbing Blood Orb. Do I have to essentially do the entirety of WoD for this? Wowhead says the relevant quest will not unlock until I've done Taanan Jungle quests and I can't even access those yet - did Gorgrond and SMV and three other zones unlocked but not that one.

It looks like (can anybody confirm?) that just the first two zones was enough to get level 3 garrison > get a shipyard > do Taanan Invasion questline and that might be enough to get it to spawn in Taanan base?

edit: can now confirm: do all of SMV and gorgrond: get enough resources for level 3 garrison, do shipyard quests > do short Tannan invasion questline, relog and hopefully the first garrison quest from Taanan is the right one.

double check that you've fully completed all of the previous steps. I think the commonly missed ones are step #1 and #5 (the pet battle). If that's not the case then I apologize and am not sure what's wrong

I had a horrible time with this, I tried taking everything off, transmoging everything to naked. Turns out that if you are transmoging to naked, you MUST have a shirt and a tabard that are on and ALSO transmogged to naked. I was missing the Tabard.
