I dunno. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the magma shell as I was super excited. Sucks to see I wasted all that time because the item was literally impossible to get. Very discouraging to hunt secrets when you can spend days on a theory that might be right, but its bugged so you won't know until they fix it.

Also re: the pins it doesn't technically even require renown 7. You can get the harpoon on the AH or from a friend. They aren't BoP and can be used before renown 7 unless they fixed that recently.

yup soons as i saw this was solved i went to waking shores created a lunker farm raid and it filled so fast people were using conches nonstop toke about 2hrs to get all coins then 2 hours and 29min to fish everything up and i offered the barrel and got the mount.

So, magma thresher fishing works like this: get level 15 rep with Tuskarr. Go to 80 30 in waking shore, right near the fishing trainer near the boat [for Alliance, don't know about horde 😦 ] and loot three stones, go back to Iskarr to turn in to get magma fishing. Then, go to around 34 64 in Waking shore. There will be a little island. 2 pools spawn there, and when fished, they'll respawn instantly about 5-6 times before they stop.

Usually when that happens, just say "Use Conches" in raid chat and people will.

At least I've never seen one, and I've spawned plenty of lunkers from looting one according to the achievement. I've seen it from fishing up a conch though.

What I’m not getting is, if you’ve unequiped your gear, and you multi-tag with some dmg ability, is there any downside to the raid group?
Dmg would likely approach a neglible number, whereas the time needed to accumilate coins by anyone using the method would go down significantly.
Besides not being a ’good sport’ and reeling the fish in alongside the others, is there really some penalty to the strategy?
Do some of the fish swim away if tagged all at once, ie can they be tagged en masse too early, prior to being reeled in?

its abusing the shells that spawn lurker, if you fish one a lurker spawns, if there is 40 people in raid fishing with harpoon only, there is % chance someone catches the shell off the lurker making it infinite spawn
people do it to get 75 copper coins (1 gold coin) really quick. you can get 1 gold coin in like an hour this way
it also lines up pretty nicely with the new secret mount since you need 1 golden coin

hello i seem to be struggling to get the barrel and i dont know why

when the debuff hits 0 it just refreshes to 5min and nothing happens

You can check if its in your inventory or check the spot it shows up in. It spawns to the right of the tuaren next to the tent. Or panda, whoever it is.

Unless you've seen a video, which there arent many, you cant really know where it teleports you without you doing it.
But yeah it spawns you behind the tauren
next to the tent
If anyone is having a bug where it doesn't teleport them after dancing on the dance pad after using the Aquatic Shades and waiting the 5 minutes, try going to the barrel spawn location. The barrel spawns up the path out of the water and to the right, right next to the rock wall and behind the deployable tent that you can interact with.
