In order for us to investigate further could you provide your Player Logs? Found here:

C:\Users*Username*\AppData\LocalLow\Payload\TerraTech

So, someone had claimed that editing Terratech's folder access through Windows Security fixed this issue for them. If I had to guess, your device's security system just somehow ended up blocking Terratech's access to its own save files

#

@worn bobcat If you don't mind, would you be able to type up a guide for how you managed to solve the problem?

• Windows Security
• Virus & Threat Protection
• Under "Virus & Threat Protection Settings" click "Manage Settings"
• Under "Controlled folder access" click "Manage Controller Folder Access"
• Click "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"
• Add an allowed app
• Find the location for TerraTechWin64.exe and add that to the allowed apps.

Oh, well that sucks. Was hoping to get some images pointing out the buttons n' stuff

#

Looks like it's just since I use a third-party security app, Malwarebytes

#

And then this is the typical filepath to find Terratech's launcher

#

And when you're done, it'll look like this

#

Ofc the process is probably a bit different if you use a third-party antivirus, since that'd probably be what blocks file access instead of Windows Security

It can actually make new save files, and overwrite them just fine (tested that with both a new save file, and overwriting it as well) and it can load just fine (with continue game)

Huh. Maybe this is a separate but very similar issue, I guess

experiencing the same issue
the game still saves and loads files, but they're not visible at all

Apparently creating a new save file and adding a custom name to it fixes the issue, according to another user. @hard igloo and @vast hare

#

And they had screenshots to go along with it, so it's definitely true.

vast hare
#

like changing the file name manually?

Apparently it only happens if the saves view fails to update the scrollbar (due to too little files, or having exactly the same number of files as the previously viewed tab).
Adding a save helps make the list long enough

GG @shy arch, you just advanced to level 8 ! When you get to level 15/25/35/50/65/80/100, you get a chat colour!

We hope to have a fix for this in the next update. Until then the workaround posted by @hard igloo should suffice. Apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

I have been pinged

#

And commended for offering one solution to a different issue and then a somewhat correct fix found by a different user 👍
