I’ve been an avid player for a significant time, and while I personally haven’t been affected by false accusations, I’ve witnessed many skilled league players who have been unjustly targeted. The recent ban of betzylely, an esteemed league player known for her unmatched prowess with an LMG, is concerning. Not once has she been accused of foul play in the league community. It’s disheartening to think that she might have been reported by players who simply couldn’t fathom her skill level.

I also assist in managing a group called OVL. Our reputation speaks for itself as most would vouch for the respectful conduct of our members. Though we don’t prioritize skill during recruitment, the majority of our players have naturally evolved to be some of the best. Lately, we’ve experienced deliberate targeting by individuals who go out of their way to join our games under pseudonyms, accusing our members of hacking and attempting to rally mass reporting against them. This has lead to warning being sent to different members targeted by this swell. The mere fact that some of our members have contemplated removing the OVL tag to avoid this baseless attention is deeply unsettling.

I urge you to rework the current reporting and verification process. This current trajectory might deter genuine players from your platform.

There 100% needs to be some form of verification on reports. I can't tell you how many times I get accused of cheating do to lag or their lack of ability. Alot of these problems could be resolved with some sort of ranking system or age restricted lobbies

Or at least you need to make sure that they have video evidence to back it up. Because there's a lot of little kids that are just trolling And abusing the system to get good players kicked from a game that they've had for several years without any problems

I strongly urge you to seriously reconsider and improve the current reporting and verification process. If this trend does continue... it's not good for anyone involved.

It appears as though there are no actual reviews of any gameplay to confirm any reports. I believe it’s purely number of reports. This is whats happening to us in OVL.

Theres a hacker that has been posted here and FB multiple times named ChristianWolf. I started seeing him in games maybe 9 months ago.

A couple months ago OVL folks let me know they started to see him pop up under different names. ~ a month ago was in a game and this dude comes next to me, says hey fuse.... know who this is? I say nope, who are ya. He slowly says ChristianWolf and blows us up. From that point on I took a very different approach to him. Just ignored him. He ended up staying around for a bit that round and was talking to me sorta like a friend, it was weird. Anyways, check out what he told me.

He's apparently a college aged kid and is involved in multiple large hacking groups. He said that all of the groups are joining together to go against OVL and will get us all banned. I just sat silently while this dude talked. It was a very weird conversation.

Since then I have seen him no less than 10 times where he comes into a room and immediately starts saying I'm hacking and saying he has video evidence and reported me to discord. I don't say shit, not playing into his BS. I know he doesn’t have any videos, it's impossible so what do I care, right?

Then I get the warning message the other day in Onward. Then I hear that multiple other OVL folks have gotten this warning as well with some being banned. Is there truth to what ChristianWolf was saying and that OVL is being targeted? What can be done?

Many of my friends have been getting bans without proper review. I can attest that none have been cheating. Betzylely does not cheat nor use offensive language. She speaks only Spanish, so the offensive language is that she doesn't speak English? How about actually looking into abuse reports. Sexual harassment. Comments involving sexual assault. Racism...all those people get away with it. That is a major problem.

I agree with everything that has been said and have received a warning myself. I also know of many long-standing Onward players that I respect who have received warnings.

There is a problem when the most loyal and actively engaged players, and biggest promoters of the game all receive disciplinary warnings without cause.

That’s my biggest fear with her is that she was targeted for those reasons. People are extremely disrespectful to her for being a Spanish speaking woman, but she’s still such a dedicated player. I would be extremely insulted if it were me.

dafuq is OVL. Player reports are not to linked to a name they are linked to a playerID. So you can't falsify a report

I wanna add, im a moderator in an unofficial group on Facebook and yah i see it all the time, and our members have been complaining alot that girls have been severely mistreated, it’s becoming a serious problem that needs to be fixed

I feel like ths is being completely ignored . Not sure how all this impersonation is going on when the report would be tied to player id of the individual being reported. people are making it sound like you just type in the name of who you want to report. but it should only be tied to the id of the player and accuont in the lobby being. now if your getting spam reported in lobbies you play in. thats another story and id suggest playing with those BIG groups you are all a prt of to be safe.

Something needs to change with the banning guidelines so many people are getting falsely accused and banned for just being good and trying to have some fun
