It‘s more a question of if deno and bun support discord.js. But they mostly do by now
Deno supports d.js pretty well, my bots pretty much all run on Deno and I don't see any issues
Except that one random crash I never diagnosed that went away a few updates later...
@fallow laurel any chance you know of any documentation on getting Deno up and running? I'm planning on my bot being available on millions of servers (I Hope) and I need every optimization humanly possible.
there have been djs bots in millions of servers before deno and bun were a thing
that being said, if you really want "every possible optimization" you most likely want to use @discordjs/core, not mainlib
I mean yeh, but I self-host everything so things like ram and cpu performance matter to me more than most.
I use bun with djs - all works fine
My one-server bot barely goes above 0.10% CPU usage and I would assume that if I scaled it, it would stay about the same.
Generally, just be performant in the rest of your code, and use workers where you can to multithread.
