It’s a known issue w/ ytdl-core

fleet badger
#

Just something I need to handle and re-start the stream?

cobalt oyster
#

You should be able to handle the error by adding a player.error listener

fleet badger
#

I've added that and it'll restart the stream, do you know if there is any way to tell where ytdl is in the playback?

cobalt oyster
#

You could also switch to play-dl

#

That has worked for me

fleet badger

lol oops

#

don't know what happened. What about play-dl

cobalt oyster
#

What abt it?

#

It’s an alternative to ytdl-code

fleet badger
#

right context, the ability to see where in the playback it is

#

can you do that with play-dl

cobalt oyster
#

abort isn’t an issue w/ play-dl

fleet badger
#

got it, though I do have a use for that info just in general

cobalt oyster
#

Well, it has worked for me that is

#

player.state.playbackDuration
