Yeah for vehicles anything that breaches the armor counts as one hit. The damage roll is just to see if the armor is penetrated

For the whole army, the light mechs were necessary for that charge to succeeed as well as it did. Without them, we would have definitely gotten stuck in a melee and not taken the walls that turn. Anyways i've chatted enough on old topics.

Still impresses me how Iron Hammer manages to be a balanced operation by taking on the late sign-uppees.
And also manage to be significant in the campaign, especially with our lower player number.

And heck, even having lower amount of players helped us get carried by Atlas too !

And our armor meant we got favored over pathfinders thanks to the bots maybe having armor and us having more of a punch

When doing ARMCOmon lootboxes, you should probably use the stats from /unit counts_by_unit_type, since gives us every unit instead of just activated ones. Also the version of ARMCOmon lootboxes I made has an update probabilities feature which reads the file downloaded from SAM to update the probability values, super convenient.

Its been done in the past. In C2 I helped with the capture of some pirates and they gave us intel. I think there was a temp upgrade earned by finishing C1 and C2 that people could buy for their units for future combat that were limited use. Bonus monies have been earned through some activites as well. There was a recruitment poster thing a while back that I think was for some reward.
