More of a culture question than a language question, for our natives here. Mods, feel free to delete if this is a bad spot for it.

I'm writing my German CV for entry-level software positions. I have about 2 years of experience at a German company. Here are my questions:

-At my USA university, I had paid internships with a chemistry lab (no software) and a bioinformatics lab (some software). I have acceptance letters and salary records, but no Arbeitszeugnis-style document. Should I include these? Do they fit under 'education' or 'employment'?

-I have more education than work experience. Should I list education before my work experience, or after?

-There are two covid-related gaps in my employment history I want to explain in my CV (10 and 4 months). What's a good way to do this?

Heyo, this forum is for questions about the language specifically. The general guideline is that if you can't find a tag for the question, then it probably belongs elsewhere. In your case that would be #archived-culture-study-visa.

Generally even if a question is out of scope, we won't delete it until it dies down and is archived (or unless the user asks us to do so). Forums are still new, and we understand that not everyone is entirely used to them.

Makes sense, yeah. Forums are a really useful feature and help users with their question being viewed by multiple others, not having to worry about the chat changing subjects. Just a quick idea, wouldn’t it be easier to also make #archived-culture-study-visa a question forum?

It's planned, but we're waiting until forums are actually released before we fully replace existing channels with forums. At the moment, they're still officially an in-development feature that we have early access to.
