Okay, so I am desperately attempting to create a plan that will let me escape from the united states. I'm not going to go into too much detail as to why, but I need to find out what steps I should take in order to immigrate elsewhere. Currently, Germany seems like the best option for me. I am a minor learning german (about A2), and if I want to make a plan, now is probably a good time to start. I'm under the impression that getting into a german university is probably the best way to go, but I'm not sure what that would require.

Well i am not in German university nor in Germany.
But you have an advantage of having US passport unlike me where there is a lot of verification and visa rejection even for tourists visas.

University or smth similar sesrch visa
You get to work part time too in that period while applying to Universities.
Well i don’t know much about American Education System , but you can check your eligibility whether you can go directly for Bachelors or you need Foundation course as many people do from other countries.
You can Check it on google there is a specific site for that.
ZAB or smth like that .
This is the fastest way you get in , search for Uni or vocational education (this is a different system then Uni) , get familiar with environment.

Just make some connections there
So you don’t have to struggle for accommodations and other govt things. They can help you with that.
I would suggest take membership from Easy German its a learning channel on yt they have a discord group, you will find very active members there so it’s worth it .
I am also preparing for Germany but due to financial condition i am opting for Vocational education.
