Hallo zusammen

I'm considering to apply to the Mechanical Engineering (International) programme at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

It's an English programme with no German knowledge required. However, I am skeptical as to how viable studying in Germany, without German, would be.

Getting around in daily life, dealing with documents with banks and government, and internships/opportunities/jobs. I can't wrap my head around on how this could work, but many people on Reddit have shared with me that it's alright.

I'm planning to apply for this year's Winter intake if I deem it feasible. If you have any opinions or things to share, I'd love to hear them!

As for jobs... Idk if it's a masters or a bachelors, but finding a job without German will limit you to cleaning jobs / highly skilled research jobs at institutes or universities. No one's gonna employ you in the second one when you're just starting a bachelors through. Even for other "low skilled jobs" like working at McDonald's they'd require basic German knowledge.

Hello there, the programme I mentioned is a Bachelor's, and I'm not really planning to work part-time during my studies, it's not necessary for me.

I'm thinking I should learn at least up to A2 before I go, then continue learning slowly up to perhaps B2 or C1
