Which city is good for an Indonesian student

Hello, I am from Indonesia and I'm 16 years old and a sophomore (?) In high school (graduating in 1.5 yearish). I want to pursue computer science in Germany in a public university (The ones without tuition). I plan to work part time to cover the living costs if possible. So far, I have only found Goethe University Frankfurt, Technical University Berlin, University of Cologne, University of Bonn, Technical University Berlin, and University of Freiburg as my possible choices. Could anyone recommend any other public universities? Thank you

I can't really depend on my parents to pay tuition or cover like 3 years of living cost in Germany because our currency is quite weak. 1 Euro is about 17.000 Rupiah. The minimum wage here is like 3.000.000 Rupiah which is about 175 Euros, and companies don't even treat it as a minimum, more like a standard wage.

Most of those you listed are in really big cities and will be really expensive, living wise.

All of these are big cities, you probably won't be able to cover the cost of living woth just a part time job

rent in köln is not that expensive for a wg and jobs typically pay 15 euros an hour there so it should be fine. Idk what other peoples perspectives are but i heard thim from people who went to prestegious universities. Not sure if these unis are highly rated or not and why you chose them but if its has to do with prestige i would advise you that it doesnt matter that much. all unis are good in germany. Try and find one thats easy that wont demoralize you so you can work 20 hours a week and pass your uni as fast as possible and surpass the poverty student state

if you do certificates on your own and have projects on your own, a degree doesnt matter than much

if you get a 20 hour job per week you can easily cover your student expenses if you live in a wg in a normal city. by normal i mean not frankfurt or munich or berlin.

and add 400 euros to it

I don't know where you're getting this information from. Having a degree from a local German uni is still infinitely more valuable than random ceritificates you did online.

In German, yes I'm aware most of my choices are in expensive cities, I haven't had much time to research because I have a lot of stuff going on this week

Now I don’t know how powerful your certificate from the country is, but if your wanting a English degree in a public university, then it’s possible but limited, also it’s a necessity you do pay the 12k euro, there’s no way around it, you have to pay upfront too, so it would be best if you get a degree that can let you apply to uni and also you can save up some money and after that work in Germany with your uni studies and the universities are good everywhere honestly, just from what I heard, especially regions in the south and west, like northwest rhinephalie.

You also must pass their Studienkolleg if you don’t have a cerfticiate that lets you get to uni, even then you must have at least B2 German or B2 IELTS for English program
