From what I can see they don't even list their price on the website. "course being held by previous STK participants" so all of them are non-native and currently doing a bachelors and have 0 teaching background? Ah yes.

Außerdem habe ich mir die Adresse im Impressum ihrer Internetseite auf Google Maps angeschaut. An dem Haus ist nur ein Schild für eine Arztpraxis, soweit ich das erkennen kann...
Außerdem scheint das Studienkolleg zu einem Marketingunternehmen zu gehören? Sieht alles ein bisschen seltsam aus.

Private studienkolleg do exist, but it's questionable what you'll actually be able to do with it afterwards. They say they'll. "bring you to B1" which is absolutely not enough to study in German

I can open up my own studienkolleg tomorrow if I want to. What you'll be able to do with the certified NatsuSTK-degree? Absolutely nothing

There are also "100% English studienkolleg" in eg Morocco. And afterwards they're surprised they get refused in German universities

But no, from what I've seen aachen does not have their own public stk. There are not too many overall, there are some private ones that have good reputation (eg Jena - Nordhausen or EAH Jena) but I'd stay away from this one. Not a single review online? Probably forcing you to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Also the university Aachen nowhere mentions this studienkolleg, that is shady. In Jena you'll see the official university website mention "hey, here's our public stk! And we also have a private one if you prefer that:"

Also, they said all of the people offering courses are former graduates from their programs, which sounds... I don't know, actually. On the one hand it makes sense that people who went through the same situation might have some empathy for the situation. On the other hand, that doesn't sound like they have actual teaching qualification - or at least not necessarily.

In the worst case, that might mean they have little more than some watered-down tips from the previous generation of "graduates", which might have had the same experience. Do you wanna play "stille Post" ("telephone game") with education? I wouldn't.

Honestly, to me, the most sketchy thing about it is the fact it's run by a marketing company. Might be prejudice on my side, sure

But I wouldn't trust sales/marketing people to teach general knowledge as a side job.

Geilenkirchen is known for fake companies actually lol idk why but Geilenkirchen is THE Spot for "Hans Müller owns company xyz that operates in new York (random postal address), yes you can buy furniture really cheap here!!"

Like people just sell their names for those businesses and they have nothing to do with whatever is behind it

How did you find that out?

I love researching scams, so whenever I get scammy emails I get to detective work. Eg "Sie haben 1 Fahrrad gewonnen!!!" And the Impressum has a random company in the UK, the company is led by two women from Thailand and one random dude in Germany, while that dude has 50 other companies running all over the world etc... All with a profit of 1 euro per year, very low initial investments etc

I sometimes track them down and talk to them and befriend them but whenever I mention their business I get ignored 😦 I just wanna get business tips man
