#Realistic "Salary" for Ausbildung

I plan to do Ausbildung and so far, I saw the vacancies mentioned the earnings would be somewhere around 900-1.000€ per month, some don't even mention this.
Now I begin to question if it is a thing to do Ausbildung and earn nothing but the company benefits?
Also what kind of life/life style I could get with 900-1.000€ per month (including rent)? And I'm a female so there'll be more cost for these bloody days 🩸

Uhh pads aren't really THAT expensive. Even if you buy expensive brand ones they're 6 euro for 30-40 of them, which should be enough for one period? So 5 per month lol

900 is already a lot for Ausbildung. Always depends on the area, but eg in Kindergarten you're lucky if you get more than 700 in the first year.

How you'll be living? Most probably In a shared flat. Maybe your employer is a hotel and they'll give you accommodation, but that's rare. Maybe you'll work in a restaurant and get food there every day, depends.

Rent for one room in a flat shared with 2-4 other people can be somewhat from 200 to 700 Euro. Munich? Berlin? Or a random small city? You can check rough prices and offers on "wg-gesucht".

For other expenses... Food (if you only cook at home) would be 150-200 euro per month. Then you most likely also want internet? A phone contract ? Maybe Netflix or Spotify... Another 50-100 Euro. Sometimes employers will have benefits like a free gym membership

Is that 900-1000€ before or after taxes?

I'm not an expert but 900 should be more than enough to cover your living costs (despite flat/shared flat or apartment rent which can take a big portion). Also note that in an apprenticeship in Germany you spend only half the time in a company and the other half in school so youre not working full time. In case your Ausbildungavergütung isn't big enough you can try to apply for Bafög as well. If you need more money you could work extra. Most Azubis probably still live with their parents so I think Bafög could be an option in case you want to immigrate.

Apparently it's stated in Brutto (Before taxes + insurance)

That's what I thought. And health insurance might be the biggest factor after taxes and rent. There might not be too much left over, depending on the cost for rent.

Some table says around 750 for 950 are left, taxes only apply for 1000+ netto

#

But really you should be looking which financial aids the state offers (or ask your parents lol)

Coming from a third world country, 6€ for a pack of pads is expensive but considering the earning, it wasn't that bad forguwu
And just looking for confirmation here, I definitely get earnings during Ausbildung and if it's under 1000€ it's brutto-cut by taxes and insurance? What about the one who raised the earnings by second, third, and fourth year? Eg. 1st year 900€, 2nd year 1000€, 3rd year 1100€, 4th year 1200€.

Assuming the tax is around 200€, does that mean I might get in netto:
1st year 900€ (because it's under 1.000€)
2nd year 800€
3rd year 900€
4th year 1.000€
Like that?

If you don't have kids:
Steuerklasse 1
Kinderfreibetrag 0
Idk if you're in church, let's assume not
And assume you're in Baden württemberg
And you have regular public insurance which is 2.5%

#

From 1000 you'll end up with 791,50

#

As u can see the Steuer (tax) is 0, as tax only comes in at 1.2k monthly roughly, idk maths

#

But you'll always have to pay insurance

Oh wow. Where do you live?
I live in Indonesia and it's less than 2€ per 20-30 pads, and that comes with 12% tax this year 😂

Where do you come from and how much pads cost? Just curious

The minimum wage is less than 180€ around here. And I believe lots of people get less than that 😅
