Yellow Leute, (a little backstory here) i kinda need some help with this preparing myself to study to Germany. it's not an 100% thing but I'm dedicated to put it the work. In 1.5 years i'll be graduating High School, the plan is to get my bachelors in Germany and possibly live there long-term. I've been learning German for the past 3-4 months and so far gotten to A2. now, I'm not exactly the most financial blessed person so that means i have to work twice as hard than other people. my plan is to try to get a scholarship, but i heard it's near-impossible to get a scholarships for your bachelors degree there (it's possible, with a little hope). or maybe there's an alternative to somehow still getting some kind of financial aid but not as full as a scholarship. In hopes by posting this, there might be some extra-freundlich people in this server who would kindly give me information about this or even guide me through it. if so, thank you so much and i hope yall can have a great day!

Scholarships are limited to people from certain countries, and under certain circumstances

most people take out a loan to fund their studies

only certain countries?! really?! well aren't there scholarships for students who are excelling academically (and some other requirements that are still tied to academics) as well?

But most if them don't cover a full bachelors degree, just 1 or 2 semesters

cause the tuitionis very low, it's money for living costs you need to show

i mean, it still helps. plus, wouldn't i have to go to studienkolleg first before being able to apply for Uni? how's that gonna work out if i did receive one of these scholarships/funding?

If you get a scholarship equivalent to the amount needed =11,904€ then you don't need it

If its not up to, you have to open a blocked account for the remaining balance

But studienkolleg doesn't pay tuition, just semester fee

and i've pulled some pdf files from them, but fuck their in german. my german is not particularly the best

i've somewhat dive into them with the help of deepL and google translate, but i'm unsure. they seem to be a fully funded scholarship and the requirements i'm not fully aware of/understand

You need to be engaged in volunteering, etc etc

You need german at c1 level

alrighty, i found that one whilst digging through DAAD. there we're some other options but the requirements we're not to my fit. it was unavailable to me. are there any other sources i could find scholarships to germany?
