Looking for a job in Germany. Software Engineer with 1-2 yoe. German knowledge is only A1 rn. As I recently started learning. I've applied but no success so far. I applied on LinkedIn mostly.
Any idea regarding this? Or if anyone going through the same or has gone through the same??

Danke. I know about stepstone and Xing. But didn't know that they use Indeed too. LinkedIn is pretty much useless when it comes to applying for Germany.

No, sponsorship is when the company does the visa/permit process for you. In Germany, they will only give you the documents, and you have to do everything yourself.
I've never heard of companies sponsoring stay and flights. Some offer relocation support, but you still have to pay for housing/travel.

Also worth noting is your language level. Anything under a B1/B2 makes things significantly more challenging, regardless of whether the job ad says it's in English.
English jobs are barely 10-20% of the total number of German jobs, and EVERYONE is applying to them, so there's a lot more competition.
Finally, how your cover letter and CV look also makes a difference. Germany doesn't do CVs in the same way that the US or several other companies do it. If you show off a lot, you lose credibility.

Yeah, I remember. One of my close family memeber that I mentioned also had to go through that process. But they helped something with speeding up the visa process iirc. Or at least something on Germany side. I might has him. But yeah everything he paid for. But having a job speeds up the process a bit.
But some faang companies do help/sponsor visa. I no a lot of people who applied directly from here to a lot of Europe countries including Germany.

Yes, my 1 yoe doesn't include internships. But one of my internships was a full time internship. But I stll don't include it and mention it as internship in my resume and basically everywhere

Again, Germany does not have the sponsorship scheme, so I don't think you understand what I said.
A company can reimburse you for your visa and help with your applications at best. You still have to deal with the government bureaucracy yourself.

Yeah, that I know. But I do remember applying to a company which said they help with visa (or maybe it was sponsor but definitely something related to either one of this). What does that mean? I am looking for the company it was somewhat of a big company but I can't find them rn. But I'm 100% sure I applied on one. Like last 2-3 weeks.

The few times I know of, german companies offered paid internships. If you did well, they would VISA support the people. If not they wouldn't

Okay, also is there a format that is being followed in Germany while applying? So, maybe reaching out to HR or something similar? It can be pretty annoying also I'm not sure about the hiring culture in Deutschland so I have not tried it yet.
