Hi, feel free to remove my question if too silly. Why do I always see the verb scheißen paired with Akkusativ when you specify the place where you do your großes Geschäft? For example this picture I just found on reddit, why is it scheißen in DEN Wald und hinter DEN Stadel and not DEM? You're in the forest respectively behind the barn, there is literally no movement involved. Why no Dativ? 💩

Yeah, well, English and German only generally agree about the question whether it's into/wohin or in/wo. There are some exceptions, like "verschwinden" (to disappear), where German uses Dativ: Er verschwand im Wald, while you'd say "He disappeard into the forest" in English. And apparently, you've now found another exception - in German, you shit into the forest, not in it. 💩

Hallo. Wenn das Objekt direkt von der Handlung des Subjekts betroffen ist, wird Akkusativobjekt verwendet. Hier Wald ist direkt von der Handlung betroffen, daher "den Wald" richtig ist. Und "Worin" als W-Frage ist präziser als Wohin. Noch ein Beispiel: Er scheißt auf den Boden. Hier Boden ist direkt von der Handlung betroffen und die Frage ist "Worauf". "Worauf?" und "Worin?" sind spezifische Fragen für solche Konstruktionen.
"Wohin?" ist grammatikalisch nicht falsch, aber weniger präzise.

Vielen Dank, dass Sie meinen Satz korrigiert haben. Boden und Wald sind Präpositionalergänzung. Bei Verben wie "scheißen ", die ebenfalls Wechselpräpositionen verwenden können, richtet sich die Wahl zwischen Akkusativ und Dativ danach, ob das Verb eine Richtung oder einen Zustand ausdrückt: Akkusativ: Wenn das Verb eine Bewegung oder eine Handlung auf ein bestimmtes Ziel ausdrückt. Hier wird die Handlung des Scheißen auf ein konkretes Ziel (der Wald/Boden) ausgeführt, daher Akkusativ.
Das Gleiche gilt auch für das Verb schreiben. Zum Beispiel "Ich schreibe an die Tafel". Meine Aussage ist, dass bei diesen Verben das Objekt nicht aufgrund einer Richtung oder Bewegung der Handlung zugeordnet werden kann, da es in Wirklichkeit keine Richtung oder Bewegung gibt.
