Hello i hope everyone is doing good! anyways,
I'll get right into it, so tbh i didn't really do that well in high school because in high school the grades don't matter as long as you pass a final national exam called "BAC" (in the Algerian system).
So i only studied enough to pass and didn't really focus on getting good grades, but my in the final national exam were good and when i calculated my grade using the international formula i found that my abitur grade is 2.044. but im still worried because i failed maths and physics a lot throughout my high school years because i was just focusing on the easy stuff to just pass the grade, so can someone please tell me if my fails throughout my highschool years will affect my admission ?
#does high school transcript play a big role when it comes to getting accepted to uni ?

This might help (I've already entered Algeria as the place where you got your (last) qualification): https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-research-in-germany/plan-your-studies/admission-database/?ad-layer=2&ad-layerId=102090
Tysm !!! May i message you so i can ask u a few question if you don't mind ?
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to provide any more help/information. I'd only known about the site I linked to above because I'd recently googled it for somebody else. 🤷
Its totally okay ! Can u just tell me what this means ? Cuz i dont really get it. It says : With your educational background, you qualify for subject-restricted admission to a preparatory course/the Feststellungsprüfung (university qualification exam) for Schwerpunktkurse (focus courses) that are assigned to the following subject areas: agriculture, architecture, physical education, mathematics, natural science, and technics.
The preparatory course (usually 2 semesters = 1 year) is what you do here: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studienkolleg
At the end of this, there is an exam = die Festellungsprüfung. Only after passing this exam will you be able to study at the German university of your choice, and you will only be able to study the subject you'd applied for in the first place.
Ohhh okayy i see
Thanksss
Dude I'm algerian too and am going through the same stuff, can I DM u ?
