#German Food Question For My Schoolwork

Hallo~ I'm doing a passion project at school about German foods and I was wondering if anyone could let me know what they think in their opinion is/are some of the most popular or even just common foods in Germany- (any part of the country really,) or if there are any accurate like.. blogs or websites I could rely on? Don't know how much I trust google results and it would be good to hear from anyone who lives in Germany or grew up there especially! Any help is much obliged! Danke ^^

Aight big food enthusiast, let me try and let me know if you have any more questions:

In south Germany there's Schnitzel (eaten with fries and a slice of lemon, in north / mid Germany they soak it in sauce like brown mushroom sauce, ew)
There's Leberkäs which is just some kind of very tender meat-Mashup, usually eaten on bread like a sandwich with mustard

In north Germany they love Matjes (type of fish) on a sandwich with mayo (???)
In east Germany there's a lot of Russian influence, like Soljanka (a type of tender sausage cut in stripes and cooked with pickles and bell pepper cooked in tomato sauce, usually eaten with bread)
In thüringen in particular there's Thüringer Klöße (potato-balls, eaten with sauce too)
Bratwurst (sausage, fried) with Sauerkraut (sour cabbage)

Not sure where exactly from but also German: Königsberger klopse (kind of meatballs in a lemon-y sour sauce, eaten with potatoes)
Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes with onions and spices)
Rouladen (meat with mustard, pickles and onions, rolled up to... A roll? And cooked for a long time in brown sauce)
Kohlrouladen (cabbage leaves filled with ground beef or lentils or... And cooked in brown sauce)
Kassler (meat slices again)

Oh and to-go the most popular are definitely Currywurst and döner, Bratwurst too in east region

In northern Germany we do eat Grünkohl with Pinkel when the first Frost arrives (first time in the year with temperatures < 0 degrees).
Matjes on a sandwich? I would not even know where to buy something like it. We have the most pigs per capita in lower saxony, so a lot of pork dishes are wildly popular. Including Schnitzel and Cordon Bleau. You can get it Wiener Art or with the usual random assortment of german sauces. We also got a lot of immigrants from Greece, so Greek restaurants are super popular and especially the "variants of pork" kind

We also got the Jägermeister and the Bockbier going for us. Also: we drink both at the same time - gripping a glas of beer and the shot glas of jägermeister with one hand
