What is the difference???

Von meinem Küchenfenster aus kann ich die Berge sehen = I can see the mountains from my kitchen window. Ich fliege von Berlin aus nach München = I'll be flying from Berlin to Munich.

Why, what's surprising about this?

As a side note: for the sentence about flying from Berlin to Munich, you could and probably would drop the "aus" if you lived in Berlin, but if it wasn't obvious, e.g. for a long distance flight, or if you lived in the country, you'd use it.

I'm not sure this has any difference in meaning at all in the English, 😅

well, I take that back

"working from home" has a connotation that you're talking about your job and remote work

whereas "working at home" may not necessarily be talking about remote work
