Hi. I need suggestions from veterans who watch Deutsch stuff with subtitles.

I need a Media provider that can give me something to watch with a "PROPER subtitle". So far i have been trying to watch stuff on KiKa and ArdMediathek, but all of it has videos(series/movies) with subtitles that straight up omit words or change the words spoken by the people completely. Can some one please point me to the stuff (preferably no Dub)/ providers (other than youtube) that has videos with subtitles that match the speaker "Word for Word"? Thank you very much!

I think that's one of the reasons the German version of Peppa Pig/Peppa Wutz gets recommended so often - if I remember correctly, there, the subitles do correspond to what's being said.

There are also the Easy German videos on youtube, where they mark/correct the spoken German. Here, at 1:00, the guy actually says "... und 'die' Gemüse" (wrong article!), so, in the subtitles, you get "... und (das) Gemüse", where the brackets show you what he didn't say, but should have said.

@polar crescent Thanks a lot. i will check out Peppa pig. i know about easy german but i wanted to enjoy some actual Deutcher krimi/thriller film/serie. But unfortunately couldnt find any with proper subs.

Well... the subtitles on "Mord mit Aussicht" are really quite good (they only seem to have left out filler words, like "wirklich", "ja", etc.), but I feel you'd enjoy this much more at some later date. ;) Can't find the first 2 seasons anywhere, but here's the 1st episode of the 3rd: https://www.rbb-online.de/film/mediathek/mord-mit-aussicht/mord-mit-aussicht-27-sophies-welt.html

it's true they are so hard to find but I give you a tip to add the word for the hearing impaired to your search in media "Hörgeschädigte" (Untertitel für Hörgeschädigte is the full, but most search engines ignore "für" anyway)

Die Kollegen geben sich oft einfach mehr Mühe für die Hörgeschädigten, allerdings muss man sagen, dass es trotzdem noch oft vorkommt, dass die Unterltitel aufgrund der hohen Anzahl von Buchstaben leider sehr schnell an die Grenze des möglich Lesbaren stoßen und abgekürzt werden .

Ich bin persönlich auch der Meinung, diese Untertitelschwelle von "18 cps" also "characters per second" - sie wurde, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, bestimmt für die englische Sprache entwickelt und nicht gesondert für die deutsche Sprache wissenschaftlich untersucht und für uns hätte man diese Schwelle ja bestimmt ein bisschen höher setzen können...

also ich weiß nicht ob sie bei 20 cps angefangen haben, Wörter zu streichen aber man kann uns glaube ich schon zumuten, alle Wörter so schnell zu erfassen, wie sie gesprochen werden, auch wenn Wörter hierzulande manchmal sehr lang sind. 🤔
