Dual studies in Germany (CS+AI)

Hey guys! I'm considering studying Computer Science + AI in Germany. It would be taught in English only, but given that it's a Dual Study degree, I have to find a company willing to take me as an intern for the duration of it. If I have understood correctly, most companies in Germany, even the big ones, require you to speak an acceptable level of German. Is that correct? By the time I start the degree I will have a B1 level of German, approximately. Would that be just enough to get in (provided I keep improving it)?
Just in general, how hard is it for international students to pursue Dual Studies in Germany?

Being able to navigate the German university environment and daily life in German would be useful, depending on the city you are in.

It's a higher strain on you if you learn all of tha during your first term.

yeah... right now I have about an A1 level

pretty high honestly considering that's just a handful of CS English taught courses in Germany

I don't know if I have enough time to get to an acceptable level of German by the time I enroll...

Do you picture finding a partner company difficult?

of course you do, in 2 years you can even reach B2 if you're transfixed on Germany and actually want to persue it. I reached B2 in little under a year.

not really. there are multiple opportunities if you're good in networking and good in your field 😉

Were you enrolled in an intensive course perhaps?

I bet... I will have a bit of a tech portfolio by the time I apply. Do you have anything to show to employers in that regard?

sadly yeah but that didn't help much honestly. I did the intense study part on my own for the last 6 months.

I don't think so. I attended and won a few competitive programming competitions in my homeland but I don't think that counts to employers. So would need to start over

I have completed a few of the first courses in the curriculum

Most courses have capstone projects that can add up to a good portfolio

You can build space invaders from scratch using Lisp, build a computer from logic gates to Tetris, build a fullstack website...

individually CS and AI at Ingolstadt are in german if i'm not mistaken, so in the CS + AI english taught course i don't think you have the option to choose just one.. i'd have to double check.

What I've actually meant was about the work thing, i thought that is what is meant by dual studies?
I thought the course has an optional interning in a company

Is there any reason @lament elbow "have to find" a company? Is it a requirement Im missing? For visa mayne?
