Me and you or you and I

I know in English the proper sentence structure is “you and I….” Or “my wife and I….”
Is this the same for German? Would it be “Meine Frau und ich…“ or is it different?

I'm German you have to actually think and consider about what word to use based on the rules for the cases

of course that's technically true for english too but it doesn't really matter informally but it does in german

To be fair you can mention anyone first (including yourself) but it is seen as impolite to do that which is why you mention yourself last
