im trying to begin to learn comprehensibly but the stuff that is actually compelling to watch is too hard to understand because of the accents. Even if i know what the words mean, i cant make them out.

It makes a huge difference if you read the subtitles in your target language or in your native language (or one you know well), trust me!
If you read and hear the German words at the same time, your brain will eventually connect the dots.

I found "Unten am Fluss" (Watership Down) easy to understand. Also, surprisingly, Raimi's Spider-Man movies. It's mostly hit or miss for me but children's shows are usually a safe bet

being able to properly comprehend TV shows just yet might be a far off goal. I'd recommend making noticeable progress in your German first before trying TV shows / YouTube videos. I speak from experience, as in my case, I used to understand words here and there when I was at A2, but understand the majority of what's being said by the time I reached B1. YouTube videos were a breeze, and it was really fun. Although you only get better at listening and comprehending audio by doing it over and over again, not having a decent level of the language would mean you still don't know the meanings of most words, although you might make out what the word is. For Hörverstehen, I'd recommend following the audio clips that come with your language learning book, if you have one. Any medium of learning you follow will surely have audio exercises
in the meantime you can watch easy children shows. I found Peppa Wutz (German Netflix) to be really easy from the very beginning.

Duolingo has some, you could try them, yes. But they're too simple imo, targeted at the very beginners.

iv also memorised about 250 words and plan to do a 1000
when i was watching a tv show even if i did understand what the written in the subtitles, i just didnt make those words out hearing them

imo not practice through watching the TV shows and understanding only 50/50 , rathering improving your language competency through easier audio tasks that are present in any form of structured language learning approach.
