As you can tell by the name, this is a channel for emote-suggestions. If there is an emote that you would like to see in our great community, then pls bring it to us via #community-discussion and we'll bring it to you all via this channel here~ brotbringer
They will be added on Sunday every two weeks where you can vote 👍 for your favourites spicy_meatball ... and removed after a month of being in this channel without getting enough upvotes idiotbulli
Or when they have enough upvotes to become an emote catsscreamalya
We'll set the minimum amount of upvotes to 10 for now but it will be adjusted depending on the amount of upvotes the emotes commonly get.
On that note, pls make sure that it's obvious that your reaction mean an upvote and only react once~

Just to make sure, people, it's not really intended to count those 👎, since people can just not use emotes they dislike. If you have other concerns with certain emotes that make you think that they really shouldn't be added (valid concerns would be ToS, although you probably wouldn't see it here in that case anyways, or some copyright issues) or if you wanna give suggestions to this system overall, feel free to use #community-discussion.

Before I post the emotes, we'll get to something else.

Today will be a historic moment for emote-suggestions~
We made some guidelines to ensure quality of emotes as well as their appeal to the server as a whole, which you can see below:

• The submitted image should be properly cropped, and if applicable, any background should be removed.
• The image must have a wide appeal to the community and not just a handful of members. For example, you probably shouldn't submit your profile picture, a picture of your dog, or your selfie as an emote.
• The image must not have low contrast, too much noise or detail, or any other properties that make it hard to see when it's scaled down.
• The image should be at least 48x48 pixels in size, ideally already resized so the file size is <256kB
• The image should ideally not contain rough edges or artefacts resulting from lazy background removal.
