alone =/= lonely
allein =/= einsam
hmh, so it would mean more something along the lines of 'suzu is not lonely in the feeling...'
and I'm guessing it sounds weird too
from duden
it does work š
ye but if it sounds weird it sounds weird
mh but you can be einsam although you're not allowed
and if it doesnt get the message across to everyone it aint working
I'll think of another sentence then, I cant think of anything to match 'lonely' and what I was trying to sya
Was ist die Unterschied zwischen allgemein und allgemein 2 ?
Ok ich habe im #282831147942281216 Kanal gelesen
@unkempt flower poke
ouo @nocturne frost bims am cookeng
Are you staying in an apartment? :o
Heckieeeeee!!!
hey sweetheart
How are you heckie?
I'm alright, hbu boo
very fancy, lots of soy sauce?
Itās black bean paste! :3
super fancy, I cant wait to try your food someday
Is it just chili
It's eh, dhal, red kidney beans, a 35p tin of chopped tomatoes, and various spices shoved in that I don't know what they do in an attempt to give it flavour
Me too heckie!! Letās cook together sometimes!!
heres a tip, if you dont know how to cook just add chilli
and it will be so hot you cant taste anything anyway
Hahahahaha
I added chili powder, but the "hot (three chilies)" powder isn't hot at all
I shoved like maybe equivalent of 3 tablespoons of curry powder in, that's made it taste quite good tbh š
a real innovator you are
ike
It tastes exactly like how they made stuff like this in the Indian tbh
But eh, I'm kinda living in an apartment @hot cloak ? š¤
There's 4 floors, 16 people on each floor
Airbnb?
I share a kitchen with 3 other permanent residents
Or a hostel?
Nah, uni accomodation
Ohhhh :o
Why does it take water so long to boil off reeee
fucking callom wtf is that
What's in that except beans and lentils?
that's not bread, that's untoasted toast
Omfg i confused callum with isla lol
Thatās why i asked if heās staying in an apartment lol
Nothing @cold vessel
sinoel, untoasted toast is bread
So you've been secretly judging isla all along.
lol
So what, it's tomato paste, beans and lentils? š¤
This is the best food I've had in over 2 weeks though
Well to be fair it looks more edible than Juan's spaghetti soup.
Kinda Henbri
It's a tin of chopped tomatoes, so i get tomato lumps
Forgot I had carrots I could've put in it
Did you at least put some spices in there
Hello ^-^
Hello and welcome laddie.
Sheās a native, give her the role, arrem
He did
What lentils did you use, @regal lantern?
Red
no not in german(y) acryphos
not even memeing
Man, I went to introductions and returned to #general instead of this channel and was really confused about how the topic changed so quickly.
Yay \o/ I hope my English is and will be understandable
youre doing great so far
Sorry Nero, can you say that in German? Not quite getting what you mean š¤
What exactly do you mean?
Naja, Deutsch kannst du auch sprechen. š
Eh? Can you speak up a little please, I'm a trifle dead in the left ear
@hot cloak wow
Can we just ban callum?
Natürlich kann ich Deutsch sprechen-
Not even I meme up new users. š
sprech lieber bayrisch
Nah would you fuck
No
You're wayyyy too boring for that Atrem š
No u
I am not all that good in Bavarian...I understand it but speaking it...
sprich* @alpine sinew :p
@regal lantern why does ur food look like someone's diarrhea
lol
ich wollt ja red schreiben aber dacht mir "das wirkt so dialektal, da beschwert man sich wieder"

Na passt schon

oh mann ey
das gibt mir ja n richtigen rausch wie non-hochdeutsch-konform ich grad bin š©
:c
Oh I just remembered: Do you guys know the Dialect test?
It's basically a test where you have to answer how you call a specific thing and in the end it guesses where you are from
Can't say I've heard of it
there are probably multiple
I did one once and it placed me very badly
Is it an online test?
gib the link
link or name nero?
Yes yes of course
AlphaLink
@proper shale sorry isla lol
Oh hey it's an actual site.
Kƶnnen wir Sie aufgrund von Spracheigenheiten innerhalb des deutschsprachigen Europas verorten? Sagen Sie uns, wie Sie sprechen, und wir sagen Ihnen, woher Sie stammen.
you got me good
I'mma try to get Austro-bavarian or whatever
You guys are actually talking in allgemein2
No.
O shit I must be mistaken then
I'm so sorry
I promise I'm never coming back to this channel
Oh I forgot:
O'zapft ist!
Say what
O'zapft ist
I don't think I get it
We say that when Oktoberfest starts
O'zapft [Bavarian]->Angezapft [German] -> on tap @cobalt lake
Native, key?
Just like that
I got these results (one of them is the actual city I live in)
Yeah, mine was pretty close too
Do you guys sometimes have these moments when you find out that the word you use for something is actually in your dialect and isn't used in whole Germany
mine wasnt š¦
pretty bad
didn't even get the bundesland right
:c
No, I usually know when somethings dialect
Standard German feels like a diffrent language, maybe thats why
._. I only knew about like Krapfen and Erdapfel but...other words?
The only time I actually use it is in school and even there we sometimes use the dialect
not bad
Number 3 looks so out of place
I am not even fluent in German
yeah that's probably why
Well I lived in Vienna the whole month of July so I knew some features
you haven't learned dialect words I guess
so you've got red pretty much all over the place
ā
Weird it's so high in Switzerland though
I thought our words in the quiz were quite distinct from the other ones
Idk though
I don't like that multiple answer aren't possible
like for 10ct I would've given both 10-Cent(-Stück) and zehner
but zehner only works sometimes
because generally zehner is 10ā¬
I'd say Zehner-Note to that
I would say Zehner and Zehn Euro
You roll your r right?
Yes.
In other German servers I was asked quite often to repeat a word
But not in Zehner right
No...
Not me
But I don't know sometimes if it's because I live in Bavaria or because of the fact that I first spoke Russian where you roll the r too
I can feel my English getting worse and worse
I think your English is fine
Hm, usually "r" is the first sound that you lose when you live in Germany
there are two types of r's
Rrrr and eehhhr
there's the one that sounds like a (?) and the "normal" one
Like, Russian is my mother tongue but it's easy to get addicted to german soft r
@flat jacinth yes
Here the a-r doesn't exist
As far as I understand the ending "-er" tends to be pronounced like "a"
People either roll the r or do the throat one
Funny story: My mom told me that I stood once infront of a mirror and practiced both rs (German and Russian) until I could pronounce those right
@hot cloak Exactly like in Schwester
there are countless types of Rs
and for german it's at least 4
also after -ie
But I think that also kinda depends where you live in Germany
for example trainieren
which also counts as -er as i've just notice
d
nevermind then
In standart German you move your tongue back, generally
Huh š¤
yeah huh?
I just kinda do it and don't think about it much
But you feel the tension in the back of your throat?
I don't get what you mean
or how do I describe that
I think I know what you mean
with which r?
The 'normal one'
Maybe they mean the trilling?
That's how I imagine it. In Russian, as well as in Italian, the tip of your tongue almost touches the front teeth
uvular trill
@hot cloak ŃŃŃŃ
uvular approximant is the most standard one
Yes
Oh btw @hybrid berry , you asked if we're surprised sometimes when we find out a dialect word isn't one in standard German. I just remembered one
"grillieren"
is one I didn't know it wasn't used in Germany
wtf is "grillieren"
Ist wohl schweizerisch für Grillen.
lol
Zumindest sagt das Duden so. xD
Das war offensichtlich
Naja. Für mich klang es nicht wirklich, nach dem typischen schweizerisch.
Guten Morgeen
Yes good idea
Uhh maybe Iāll learn turkish but Iāll focus on hausa and Swahili for the next while (years probably)
@crimson cloud
I only know total basics of Turkish
I don't really have enough of a reason to learn a non-Indo-European language to fluency because that's very time-consuming
I just learned them because I've heard that Turkish is quite easy and regular
And I think it's more irregular than people say but also quite easy
I love agglutinative languages, it's kinda a shame there's barely any reason for me to learn one
But I love agglutinativity
The verb morphology is extremely regular afaik
Copula and negcopula have irregular forms and thatās it?
Yeah but there's also stuff like voicing/devoicing that can get in the way
Some verbs do this
Most of what I consider to be irregular is this weird voicing/devoicing stuff
buzdabı - buzdablar
Wait where? I donāt see it
Looks like regular auslautverhƤttung
Oh the ÉÆ disappears hmm fair
Sure the stem doesnāt just end on b?
nope
Although it might be regular but works according to some rules I haven't learned
But if so than there's definitely much more learning required than with for example English plural
If you look at this though https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dolap
You can see itās regular/dolab/ [dolap] and /dolabÉÆ/ [dolabÉÆ]
And they messed up the //
Coda obstruents and r simply devoice
b gets resyllabified as an onset in dolabÉÆ -> no devoicing, but not in dolaplar -> devoicing
Thatās just German lol

RƤder==RƤte

@void stream Hey hanna! I have a question about linguistics. Are subjunktiv and konjunktiv the same thing in german? I saw some discussion on the internet and was curious what you think since you study linguistics.
Btw, could you add sth pingable to your name? It was pretty hard to find you. š
afaik it's not 100% the same thing, but because of the subjunktiv not really existing in German, and the konjunktiv having a similar function (both express modality) I guess you can kinda say they're the same. But modality is not the easiest topic, because it varies from language to language
@void stream what is modality?
Modality changes the meaning of a sentence slightly, often expressing the position of the speaker or the reality of a statement. Itās hard to grasp modalities of other languages when they donāt exist in the languages you already know. German hat 3 verbal modalities (Indikativ, Konjunktiv I & II) and some modal verbs (kƶnnen, wollen, müssen, mƶgen,...)
Its 2 am almost and I have to wake up at 5 am for college
Other languages have some interesting modalities such as Desiderativ (to express that you wish something) while you have to paraphrase it in German as something like āich wünschte, es würde schneienā
Imperative doesnāt count as modality?
@void stream weāre working on a project in this server rn where learners could just ask a bot and he would give them prewritten articles. Would you be interested in writing sth about Konjunktiv vs. Subjunktiv?
Phew I could try :D
I think itās a very interesting topic and it would be great help if you could!! :3
How long and detailed should that be?
Well, the discord limit for msgs is 2000 characters, you could divide it into more parts if you want but i think it shouldnāt be too long, the main point is to explain it to learners clearly š¤
Iāll leave it to your judgment how detailed it should be
where should I submit that?
Iām asking others rn, a sec š
Almost nobody is online, just keep it in your pc for now? >.>
Will do
Thanks a lot, hanna!! šš
:)
@void stream btw, just curious, what exactly will be in the article? š
depends, at the moment not much more than what I wrote here because I thought I should focus on conjunctive and subjunctive. I there anything else that I should mention?
It think it would be useful to compare the german Konjunktiv to other langsā subjunktiv, mainly the uses and stuff :3
then I need to do some research :D
I looked at my stuff here at home, but now I googled it and if I can believe the top answer here it will be hard to explain a difference :D
https://linguistics.stackexchange.com/questions/906/is-the-german-conjunctive-the-same-as-the-subjunctive-of-other-languages-if
But examples of the two conjunctives could be nice. I will add them
I wouldn't dive too deep into it
You donāt have to do it if you donāt feel like it D:
Just explain the two conjunctives and a tiiiiny little bit of modality
No it's okay
I like to help, but I'm not sure what you need :D
Ok, letās do that^^
@hot cloak @void stream
don't forget the most important part of German modality https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_modal_particles
Oh youāre right !
Topic of my Bachelor thesis, embarassing that I forgot about that :D
:0
"A little bit on modality" seems an impossibility. like, an explanation of just all the uses of müssen or sollen would probably break 2000 characters
if you were to do it in detail
I know. Those would need their own entries for detailed explanation
Then maybe it wouldnāt be helpful naming them in a text about conjunctive etc?
I would personally make different thingies for every concept
one for Konj1 one for Konj2 one for müssen one for doch
etc
Okay
And how should subjunctive be handled?
There could be a redirection to the conjunctives maybe?
I wanted to make articles for Konjunktivs and then one to compare Konjunktiv and subjunctives of other langs
Which other languages would that be?
Do you actually have to make an article about müssen, sollen etc? Like, people can just translate it and they already know how to use them
they can be confusing
English, French, italian, prolly spanish but idk shit about spanish and idk anyone who speaks both spanish and german
Also maybe br. Portuguese
Comparative linguistics are very useful (esp. because of the different backgrounds of everyone here) but how do we get the experts on the different languages? :D
I assume brpt was mentioned bc of sascha who spent a year in brazil and has good ling knowledge in general
We already have an italian and a brazilian
or that
Iām sure finding someone who knows both german and English subjunctives wonāt be hard
I could find sth about french in the worst case
I didnāt know sascha spent a year in brazil :o
@void stream when you finish written it, just post it here i guess :D
Kinda self-conscious now :D
Why? š
Itās still mostly what I wrote earlier (and because of iCloud being weird I donāt have access to it from my phone right now) and now the plan seems to be completely different :D
But I can post it when Iām home
Itās ok, even what you wrote earlier can be of good use imo^^
Konjunktiv vs. Subjunktiv
Those two are āmodalitiesā which means that they change the meaning of a sentence slightly to express such things as the reality of the statement or the position of the speaker. Conjunctive and subjunktive have a very similar function, both express the non-reality of something. Because of German having no subjunctive and other languages having no conjunctive itās hard to directly compare them and their functions. Some even say there are no usage differences at all.
Conjunctive I and conjunctive II differ in their degree of non-reality.
Conjunctive I is the so-called āpotentialisā, for statements that could happen. But itās more commonly used for indirect speech. Itās based on the present tense.
Er sagt, er lese das Buch.
Conjunctive II is the āirrealisā and is used for things that are not possible. Itās based on the past tense.
WƤre ich ein Junge, hƤtte ich es leichter.
In everyday use of German, the conjunctives often use constructions with āwürdeā instead.
Er sagt, er würde das Buch lesen.
Wäre ich ein Junge/Würde ich ein Junge sein, würde ich es leichter haben.
More modalities of the German language which can directly be expressed through the verb are the indicative (for a statement that is ārealā) and the imperative (for a command). Then there are the modal verbs: kƶnnen, sollen, müssen, wollen, mƶgen, dürfen.
Other modalities have to be paraphrased to get their point across in German.
Feel free to change everything š
Thanks a lot!
Iāll prolly move Konjunktiv I and II to their respective articles. The first paragraph will stay in KxS and the last one will be marked as additional information š¤
this looks super helpful, would there be anywhere to read it all once its done
Yes, weāre working on other articles too so SoonTM
š
uh @void stream every definition I'm aware of treats conjunctive as a rarely used synonyom of subjunctive
they are both terms applied to largely the same thing (to the point where eu-pt uses conjun(c)tivo and br-pt uses subjun(c)tivo for the same thing, I forgot the spelling)
and it's like, defined per language, basically
And every description of German I'm aware of says
Konjuntiv I/II = present/past subjunctive
I heard/read anywhere that there are differences, but I also have no clue where they could lie. So if you want, you could just kick the part about there being any differences š
(unless they define new terms)
btw it might interest you to learn that in Swiss German, K1 is used a lot more broadly
marking what amounts to hearsay evidentiality
yeah, Swiss is something completely foreign to me, sorry if I drop any important aspects of it, plz don't take it personally :D
Hallo guys I have a question when we say Arbeitsplatz this .s. is it the possessive s like in English or it is another rule.
No, itās just an s that acts like a glue
what is the name of this grammar please
No idea tbh, try asking in #questions
thanks a lot . I will
hello guys
I really really really dunno where to start learning german again
like I looked at the resources and it just feels too messy
i had some german knowledge but I think starting again would be way better can somebody help me with this?
whats too messy about the resources list, we're always open for feedback on how to improve it
like i dont want to read an entire german grammar book to learn grammar
it feels weird and forced
sadly I couldnt attend a course this semester and i am really confused on what to do
like what kinds of things I should do
do duolingo anki etc?
like I guess I can learn some vocab etc but then how will I use them
The problem with using nothing except vocab trainers like that is that german grammar is too complicated to learn from inference
If nothing else, case endings will throw you off too much for that to work
Like it or not, if you want to learn German, learning grammar is part of the process
I had to learn that the hard way; I spent a long time (6-9 months) using duolingo and in the end I learned very little from it. My grammar was at a maybe A2 level by that time, and I couldn't use the words I had learned to string together a coherent sentence
I use that and I don't know what else to do.
I got the words etc but then I could never use them
duolingo
@tired scarab how about buying a textbook?
I'm of the opinion that you don't need to buy a textbook
I think I have a textbook called Ideen published by hueber
You should buy a real dictionary though
well what do you suggest then ?@mild cosmos
@tired scarab thats a good book
Having a non digital dictionary vastly improved my german
I mean that you don't need to buy a textbook, not that you shouldn't use one
That's what the resources are for
well idk
like how would I learn the words and grammar
it just again reading those grammar books and doing anki or smth
The Schenke and Seago beginners book is much easier than you expect. Try it, you might be surprised
but I havent seen the help of it at all
I think I will look into schenke and this textbook
its about practice and using what you learn, not just reading it
but other than that I feel like I am doing smth wrong about learning vocab etc
That's because it takes practical use to make sense of what you learn. Read some childrens books and puzzle out the structure of the grammar. Be certain that you really know what's going on: in this sentence, who is the subject? What is the verb? Is there a direct object? Is there an indirect object? Etc etc
Check out "the Knickerbocker Bande" from Thomas Brezina. They're kid's mysteries. It's more enjoyable to read a story than to work with a grammar book for hours, but you will need to at least try to understand the grammar or else you'll get tripped up by sentences with more complicated structures
And you'll learn way more vocab by reading than from duolingo.

Okay but I don't get why you're upset.
It sounded like you were confused about a grammatical concept, so people tried to help you out.
If that's not what you were asking, that's fine. But there's no need to be upset about it.
are you the only one allowed to think aloud? š¤ Is it forbidden to derive indipendent thoughts from something someone else said?
but how is it... constructive?
does it have to be?
How was your original comment constructive?
it was related to the question, at least, but it wasn't constructive. Neither was destructive imo
it was sort of "just think about it, guys"
a tiny little bit of linguistics
Yeah, and how is that different from what other people said?
I donāt feel like saying that sth is strange is linguistics tbh
so, basically, you did find it offensive
Alright, that's enough for me to tell that you're trolling.
@opal sequoia youāre strange š
@hot cloak WTF DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME YOU LITTLE *******
@opal sequoia ššš
@hot cloak š
š š
i spotted something objective and they all be like everyone can have their opinions
is "strange" such an offensive word? someone said they weren't offended and would have reacted the same way if i used a word like "peculiar" or "interesting" instead...
but yes, indeed i'm the one trolling and not you misjudging
Nemokosch, I think you're upset because something unexpected sprouted from something you said and you felt no control over it, nor any usefulness for yourself. You need to realise that just because it happened because of something you said, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with you personally. Nobody is offended and not everything needs to be useful to you personally to be of value, and even if something be of no value at all, that would be perfectly ok and there would be no need for you to attack it. I'll say no more because we'd otherwise go on forever and I have things to do.
Look, who is offending who.
@opal sequoia oh please dont remind me of that guy lol
@pallid kelp ok then, just you know, the main value I wanted to add got completely overlooked just because I started up with "it's a bit strange", while for me it was just an unimportant setup to "this structure has inverted possession compared to meine Meinung and stuff like that"
@pallid kelp
even if sth be of no value
Did you just use subjunctive?
how do you know it was overlooked? Do you have knowledge of what everyone who is reading perceives and doesn't perceive?
@hot cloak you noticed š
nah this was rather cynical, you say that everyone spots the important part and yet they react in an unrelated way, reacting to what i didn't want to be important
anyway, until i learn telepathy, i rather don't speak if these are the conclusions xd
I think we hereby just proved that you are not in control of what other people derive from your actions or words, thus we proved that you're not omnipotent. Can we move on?
the main goal of communication isn't to be omnipotent
but understanding each other really should be
but you convinced me that these are equivalent, you can't get people understand you if they have different thoughts, okay, and even if they understood you, they are free to react in any unrelated way so you can't tell whether your goal even succeeded. it feels kinda motivating, we can move on ^^
[11:32] Suzuš: grabs cacao
It's cocoa @primal whale
although it's pronounces "cacao" in Russian/Ukrainian too
guess it's the same in Czech?
i'm starting to think it's only cocoa in English tbh xD
@rich hatch you pinged a wrong person lol
Itās cacao from now on!
Itās Kakao in german so letās stick to that :^)
where did English steal "cocoa" from then?
English is just one huge mess
The cocoa bean or simply cocoa (/ĖkoŹ.koŹ/), which is also called the cacao bean or cacao (/kÉĖkaŹ/),[1] is the dried and fully fermented seed of Theobroma cacao @rich hatch
ah lol
Cacao isnāt wrong!!!
Yes, the cacao is for the plant/bean. Cocoa is for the drink though.
so its both
Noooooooo
And the powder can be either.
English šš½
WHY CANT THE DRINK BE BOTH TOO
Dunno, mate.
ENGLISH IS SUCH A MESS
Base i wanna hear you say dunno mate with a full asutralian accent in a vc
I thought hot chocolate was made from chocolate and cacao is powder + milk?????
A drink which is formulated in part from ingredients originally gathered from the plant known by some as the cacao tree.
That's what we call it.
š
anyway Suzu the australian accent is really easy to write down:
dunno mate becomes dunno m8
done
r8 my accent Base m8
Do you know what chocolate is made of, Zuzu?
I thought hot chocolate would be more chocolate-y!
Nuh.
disappointed
You can make it with chocolate though.
I wanna hear baseās accent tho
White hot chocolate is better when made with white chocolate.
White chocolate is too sweet for me >.>
Mmm, white hot chocolate is delicious. š»
dark chocolate represent šŖ
I snack every day with a slice of bread around a couple blocks of dark chocolate
I like all chocolates. š
As long as you don't put it with caramel or peanut butter. Those are things which I don't like.
So reeseās?
Yuck.
I found those quite nice :D
Peanut butter with chocolate is really unpleasant to me. š
Talking about chocolate
yeah here i am
Naaa Suzu :3
Hmm.
I don't know if it's different in other places, but I would say it's better to use "speaking of" instead of "talking about" for that usage, Suzu.
nie hast du lob für einen übrig schüttle meinen Kopf Base
It's fine. It's not really wrong the other way, but every time you use it, I have to think for a moment to realize what you mean.
Sounds delicious. š»
I think adding a bit of yoghurt might also be yummy! :3
I probably would rather a lemon and sugar crepe or maybe something like raspberry or something.
Strawberry and chocolate. š¤
Mmmmm lemon sugar crepes also sound delicious š¤¤

The french also make salty crepes š¤¤
Like not sweet?
Oh yeah. That's savoury.
Yeah, it basically means "not sweet".
In terms of flavour categories.
Cause you can have non-salty savoury foods.
I had a crepe with spinach and an egg and it was delicious š¤¤
š®
hi. could any one be nice and check a paragraph i have written in deutsch and look for mistakes š
Feel free to post it in #writing and someone will hopefully get a chance to look at it.
Post it in #writing in a google doc
ok thanks š
Yw
I gotta learn how to make crepes tho, ive never tried before
I also wanna learn the fancy flip technique
šš
I really wish i had a taste tester tho
I like trying new recipes but every time i cook sth, i have to eat it a few days which sucks :<
You dont have flatmates?
No, lol.
Yeah, cooking for one person sucks :<
Base come to germany, we can try new recipes together!
I will.
Ohhhhhh!!! :o
We can be roommates and take turns cooking. š»
Yeah!! š

Kann jemand für mich kochen?
Come over and pay for the ingredients

the one linked above
Hello guys please help! All sites work as well except dict.cc not working (Note:I'm using chrome Browser)
Why don't you just download Firefox?
Nah it's not the connection at all, it's prompting a security threat
Whether the browser is on super high alert to any webpage at all or a virus got into the browser somehow
alright, please dont spread false information. the only issue here is that the cert authority for this website is invalid
No, its fresh copy of windows i installed yesterday and i have bitdefender antivirus
@hot cloak by what he said in #german-only apparently every website
how is the cert authority invalid, works for everyone else
if your system time is off, this can happen
turn your antivirus off, check your time, then try again
then that's not the CA's fault
lad, its an SHA1 hash type mismatch, please dont tell me im wrong lmao
Its not off, date and time is working properly
turn your antivirus off for a second and check your website please
PKCS #1 SHA-256 mit RSA-Verschlüsselung? don't see sha-1
just to validate one of my points, the same behaviour can be replicated by setting your system date past the exp date of the cert
Unfortunately website opened in strange look can't even search a word
are you still getting the same error
I know who to ask now when i have a pc problem i kinda feel like a grandma now š
I had this problem often at public connections (e.g. school), still don't really know what the issue is. Even weirder that it's only one website. For the meantime you can use linguee perhaps
I used to this site because it has clearly voice of pronunciations
linguee isn't bad either iirc
Bro i use many i use deepl and google translate but i need dict too
yep those two things you mentioned aren't like dict/linguee
I opened website on my phone and it works fine
But i need help for this on my computer also
Sorry i need authentic fix of that problem
other than date/time, antivirus, some malware perhaps, or missing root certificates I can't think of anything else
oh and internet provider
where are you connecting from?
@hot cloak edge!!
iE already installed on my windows 7
yeah
ok
this should be the right link
and then follow this
gtg, please ping if it works (I don't use Windows daily anymore) @crimson bone
@desert pecan ok bro
Hi friends

who in this thread smokes weed
Forum Romanum?
No, not a forum, this is Discord.
Discord Germanum?
Thanko
You should visit the baths of caracella and the Appian way
I'd recommend both
Ah shame
@proper shale I know it's legit my dream to move to Italy and die fat
@nocturne frost me too tbh
wow that's like £80 more than the ones at my uni
and the one i'm doing is two terms not one
but yeah i'm sure that's a typo
language courses at ur uni cost money? @solar latch
yeah - i'm talking about evening classes not like optional modules
oh ok
yeah realise it was a typo š just thought it was a bit funny. That courses advertises itself as not having any requirements, so technically it doesn't require any prior french knowledge is accurate
lol
There are a few evening/weekend courses around me. There is an evening one for like £160 I think
But that's 2 hours for 20 weeks.
@hot cloak whatās your beefy beef?
LOL
