My advice is this: keep readjusting your hands as you turn. As soon as one hand is at the top of the steering wheel, move it to the side again.

Once you want to drive straight, you can just let go. The car will automatically adjust for you, which is awesome.

Fun fact that's maybe known to everyone else: Newer cars have steering wheels that are so light that it literally doesn't matter what you do. I can pretty much turn the wheel with just one finger. 😩 😩
