And Flappy needs a preposition in the bedanken one
lol rip
which one of these nouns are feeling weak?
netten is fine
Ah ah ahhh.
Jungen...?
yup
idk
@thick charm What do you mean by the "someone" thing?
really? It just sounded like it could be a thing
Helping someone, thanking someone
What why Jungen booooooi.
I thought those were only for plurals!
Yeah, so... there's a subset of masculine nouns that are called "weak nouns" and use a thing called N-declension.
Die alte Frau dankt dem netten Jungen.
Yeah.
In every case except nominative, weak nouns end with -n or -en.
AH AH AHHH.
@thick charm But there are an insane amount of verbs where you can say "verbing someone" that doesn't take dative ...
and how are we supposed to know what's weak
Then ignore that
I couldn't think of any right there
what are more weak nouns?
Automat
Der Name.
!!! I've seen them do that
I only remember "Automat" and "Junge" 👀
Just to make things more complicated, certain masculine nouns are “weak” and take an “n” ending in all cases except the nominative. For example, most of the words for “boy” in German (Junge, Bursche, Knabe, Bube) fall into this group: … Continue reading →
deinen Namen. Geldautomaten
bookmarked
I thought it was just part of akk or something
Yeah, as you can see, most of them aren't ones you'll use often.
jfc a whole new can of worms
Just Junge and Name are really common.
I think I'll have a bad time with this 👀
It's fine, Flappy.
If you get those wrong, I wouldn't really care that much.
😄
Alright, let's try to fix the second one then
Die alte Frau bedankt sich dem netten Junge.
Dat sich.
We already went over why it has to be Jungen
zum?
What?
no one seems excited about it so the answer isn't zum
no
but chuck said we needed a preposition
Uh, wot.
It's not zum, but guessing won't help here either
yes, you do
You need a preposition?
You do
you need one that goes with dativ
also, zum would actually be zu dem, it is not zu
But there's a lot my dear Chuck
yeah i would have replaced the dem
I know there is, which is why it's usually part of the verb
von, außer, nach, etc etc are all Dat preposition
sich bedanken [Präposition] jemandem
Was going to say bei and then said "what flapps"
You should have listened to Flapps
What for?
bei
WHAT
nice one!!!
IT WAS ACTUALLY RIGHT
sich bei jemandem bedanken
what the heell
Bedanken usually goes with either bei or für as its preposition
sometimes both
sich bei jemandem für etwas bedanken
Is there a difference in meaning between the reflexive and nonreflexive form?
give thanks to somebody and give thanks for something respectively
i get it
There's no real difference in meaning
But there are situations where you'd use one over the other
Ich danke dir sounds less forced than Ich bedanke mich bei dir for example
okay so
Die alte Frau bedankt sich bei dem netten Jungen.
Die alte Frau bedankt ihm.
dankt ihm

Stop copy-pasting
bedanken needs to be reflexive
bedankt ihm doesn't work
Kein geflopping bitte
Die alte Frau dankt (ihm) dem netten Jungen/ Die alte Frau bedankt sich bei dem netten Jungen.
yayies
don't like someone- dative?
No
schade.
Ich mag nicht den grünen Vogel.
Word order, I think
Now don't say it's Vogelm okay.
I don't like that green bird
Ah.
The sentence is pretty good, except for your placement of nicht
It's actually Vogelogeogelg.
Yep. Do you remember what you said about nicht yesterday, Flappy?
#nicht_arc_continue
You will remember it eventually.
Think of German as being sarcastic with its placement of nicht.
And @pine ginkgo just lost his bet. It took her one whole day to forget about the nicht rules she mentioned. 😛
I like that green bird... NOT!
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht.
Kaskerr...
Flops mentioned the rules, not Solet.
🤔
got that flipped
What rule was mentioned?
my b
Tswitshe...
how to forget rule you said yourself
Actually I know them, ;but I can't use them.
Yes, please do
First, say hello to Casca.
Hey Casco
Hi Casca!
Then you either don't know them or aren't actively thinking about them. 🤔
Secondly, will dk.
Hi Cassiesause.
Hi casca :33
And Base. ^^
Sassycassy.
And Bell.
❤
And of course Flappy. ^^
😐
henbruas 💔
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you, Henbruas. ❤
It's just not that easy to type when you have toast in your hand.
``For the placement of that fokken nicht:
- If you want to negate only a part of the clause, you put the nicht before that part.
- If you want to negate the whole clause, then you put the nicht at the end because German.``
👌
totes get that. Dunno why you can't like not
Great.
And what's the tiny disclaimer for the second one?
Not completely at the end if there's a verb at the end. No "finden nicht" here please.
GReat.
Now make sure not to forget that in 3 hours.

You owe us all a bottle of champagne if you forget it

Now do I don't like the green bird, because he is loud and mean.
wait so you do put nicht at the end with verb at end or not
lol that sentence
cbell, verb placement is the most important always.
Looks like it's from a children book
you don't, Bell
Verbs are the #1 thing you need to look at in sentence structure.
So verbs go where they go. Either V2 or at the end.
Or first in questions, of course.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht, weil er laut und gemein ist.
I love how fast I am today. :^)
well done!
wooooo
Cool. Now do I don't like the green bird, because he is a loud and mean bird.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht weil er ist laut und gemein (why is ist at the end)
because of weil
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht, weil er einer laut und gemein Vogel ist.
It's a subordinating conjunction
nope
okay thanks
Does the other placement of "nicht" make sense in a sentence like this? "Ich mag nicht den grünen Vogel, sondern den roten"
Then it's ein
Sein is about the only verb that uses the nominative.
Not einer
Yes, hen.
yup
Flappy, think of how you would write the second clause if it was a simple sentence.
you declined the article instead of the adjectives

which frankly I think is hilarious
Flappy... Try to write "He is a loud and mean bird" by itself.
lel
ohayouuu
Hallooo.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht , weil er ist ein laut und gemein Vogel (no idea if that rule of still at the end is here too)
Er ist ein laut und gemein Vogel.
How to confuse Flops. I must decline as "laute" und "gemeine"?
Bell, that's called subordinating hehehe.
Flops. Think about what I said.
Ja, cbell. I assume you know about dependent/independent clauses in English?
Right, Bell. I want you to read up on subordinating conjunctions
yes
In German, a dependent clause has the conjugated verb moved to the end.
Uuuh, I am still not sure.
I have a degree in tesl so I got that
Verbs have nothing to do with adjectives. Adjectives hang out with nouns and are not influenced by verbs in any way. So "sein" doesn't magically free you from declining your verbs. If a verb is placed before a noun, you decline it. No exceptioneroonies.
Ah.
Yeah, I just figured that since you know a lot about English it's easier to just say that dependent clauses have the verb moved to the end.
Er ist ein laute und gemeine Vogel.
it is, thank you
which gender is Vogel again?
Der?
You tell us.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht , weil ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel ist
What I never said anything
facepalm becauae she took weak denclension
Close, Bell.
I think you made a typoe, bell
You forgot to replace a word
weil is always a subordinating conjunction and will always push the verb to the end.
Yep.
Oh. You did that. I can't read.
Er ist ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel. Here bois.
👌
Great. Now do the whole sentence from before.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht , weil er ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel ist :?
LOL NICO
Censorship. 😮
you need a subject in the subordinating clause
Or maybe him who deleted.
er
yup
🎉
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht , weil er ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel ist :?
❤
Hell no
flops celebrating instead of doing her work

So, can we have that sentence and the previous sentence next to each other?
Just so we can compare them and see the differences.
Sure thing.
Also sorry if that is frustrating for you two, but we need to play senior teacher here
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht, weil er laut und gemein ist. Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht , weil er ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel ist :?
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht, weil er laut und gemein ist.
Ich mag den grünen Vogel nicht, weil er ein lauter und gemeiner Vogel ist.
Goodies.
Great that you've started using markdown, flappy 👍
As you see Floppo, both of them use sein, but it has nothing to do with how adjectives are declined.
he is mean and loud vs he is a mean and loud bird. If we call him a bird, we have to change it up.
Okay, Flappy, try this one: I love the small house because the garden is so beautiful.
TLDR, declension happens before nouns
I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually.
thinks desperately about nicht placement
You're A, you're allowed to make these mistakes
and maybe H sound
We're not mad at you for making mistakes ever, that's the important thing
How to say "love" with another word than lieben? That would be a weird verb to use...
no
Ich liebe das kleine Haus weil der garten so schön ist.
You need a comma here
You should seperate subordinate clauses with commas.
Capital letters also
Ich liebe das kleine Haus, weil der Garten so schön ist.
Ich liebe das kleine Haus, weil der Garten so schön ist.
well done, you two!
❤
YAAY
Great!
WHAT.
nice flipflapflops
First try 😱
u even included the fullstop
Now: I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can only see grey clouds.
Was I a little bit too fast, Bell? :/
No. You can never be too fast.
Eher is position 0?
I didn't know where to put nicht ❤
i thought after kann but that was wrong
Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen
Where did you find an eher? 🤔
Rather? 🤔
Right, so you want to negate that entire sentence, Bell.
Wait am I missing a sentence.
Hint: I mentioned the word earlier
"You see the blue sky, not"
But since the verb needs to be at the end thanks to kann, you put nicht as second to last
whatsentencearewetranslatingaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Arrem: I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can only see grey clouds.
I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can only see grey clouds.
Thanks. ❤
that sounds weird, in english
Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen, sondern ich kann nur graue Wolken sehen
yeah in english you would shorten it
I can't see the blue sky, rather only grey clouds.
actually in german too
It's not wrong in English, but it's easier to translate for people who don't know the grammar well enough.
Obviously, but we're not here to learn English
sorry
Np.
Ich kann den blauen Himmem nicht sehen, sondern ich kann nur graue Wolken sehen.
kann nicht sehen @red pewter for one
Flops learned more German here than Chocc has. 🤔 /r/arremthoughts
look up some examples for sondern
I mean I should be pretty solid in German
(I'm so glad I finally got to use sondern)
Flappy, well, for one thing, you said "Himmem". 😄
So you would rather say: Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen, sondern nur graue Wolken.?
I saw that.
oh! yeah that's how sondern is used isn't it
well its easier to correct excercises if we type AND voicechat isnt it by the way :winkwinkwinkwinwiwkngi:
is that also correct, or should you have it ich kann nicht?
That would be really funny though
Well I would like a good German speaker to clarify it but I think it is meant to be "Ich kann nicht"
Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen, sondern ich kann sehen nur graue Wolken.
Pretty sure the nicht needs to move
But... we didn't say that earlier, Bell?
cbell, all unconjugated verbs go to the end of the clause.
i'm wondering too @cold vessel
wait where did chuck go
I had it at the end and it was wrong T_T
Who said it was wrong?
🤔
uh whoever put the cross emoji L:D
oops, i must have mistaken
sondern ich kann nur ... sehen is correct
i must have had problem with my eyes lol sry
T_T
😫
So Flappy, what are you negating in the sentence?
the ability to see the sky
"I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can see only grey clouds."
What is the negation in that?
It's okay, Chuck.
❤
Chaos ensued while you were gone.
I don't know where we are at
- where nicht goes.... Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen or Ich kann nicht den blauen Himmel sehen
- use of sondern
For nicht?
cbell: sondern is a coordinating conjunction. You used it correctly.
Well, you seem not to be able to read the English sentence, Flappy.
🤔
So you probably need a break from practicing for a bit.
Nuuuuh!
Fan Blopps.
Ban flopps
I don't wanna take a break...
R.I.P Flappy 2017
Well you have to show me that you can concentrate. 😄
;_;
What's the English sentence?
@red pewter the first one of the first one is correct, but the second one of the first one sounds like you are emphasising what you cannot see
"I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can see only grey clouds."
@sudden panther fucken shit
You can't see at blue sky.
to me anyway
Ehehehehehe.
And you said "The fact we can't see the clouds.", Flappy.
Yeah, but you're right, we can't see the blue sky.
But we can see something else, right?
thank you ❤
The grey clouds?
Yeah.
So we don't want to negate the seeing part. We can see something. We just want to negate the thing we can't see.
So what do you think the sentence should be in German?
Ich kann nicht den blauen Himmel sehen in this case?
Yeah.
🤔
Kinda nonsensical but I think it illustrates what the placement does?
Ich kann nicht den blauen Himmel sehen, sondern nur graue Wolken
Ich kann den blauen Himmel nicht sehen, sondern fühlen
Seems good.
ayy sounds good
you guys are lifesavers
yw
Ban henbri
already what I learned tonight means I can make so many more sentences
secret german teacher spies on reddit discord
I can't sleep anyways ❤
Oh, well then.
Lunatic
I can't see the blue sky, but rather I can only see grey clouds.
This sentence sounds to me that it is just negating the act of seeing, or did you want to emphasise what you cannot see?
This is a better use of my time
well
cbell and Flappy (and anyone else). Make a sentence yourself which includes 3 adjectives.
Any kind of sentence.
Bell is crazy anyway
when flaps is on that's when lessons happen
Dw chuck
so i need to be there
@whole rapids You're not negating the seeing, because you can in fact see something
3 adjectives?
Yep.
flipflops the superhuman, teaching french and learning german simultaneously
They don't have to be on the same noun.
3 distinct adjectives?
That reminds me of the 'Colin is crazy' meme
Yes, 3 different adjectives.
Damnit Luna
😒
That's on you
It's on you chucker
I mean negating the act of seeing the object; I was thinking you change it to emphasise you can still see but you cannot see any blue sky but that doesn't really make sense.
BELL IS CRAZY
(btw bell is cbell, i can use her first name because we are tight like that. yeah i know top players but its whatever to me lol
Do you need that und, Floppo?
It would be wrong to leave it out?
https://www.reddit.com/r/smashcirclejerk/comments/4hdn9p/colin_is_crazy/ So this is a meme in the Super Smash Bros community.
Aaalmost. Suß doesn't exist though. 😄
And the way Luna said what he said reminded me of this
no need to understand
But it's a bad insider and I love how cbell sounds like colbol
chuck wtf is that subreddits css
no idea
it hurts 😢
But it's bad
How would you say your sentence if the cute cat and the small cat are different cats, Flappy?
I have subreddit styles turned off by default, there are so many terrible ones ...
Yeah.
Der lustige Hund spielt mit der wütenden Katze und dem neuen Küken.
Die kleine Katze und die süße Katze spielen mit dem Mädchen.
guess the girl is no longer nice 😦
Küker?
^ wat
I hob di uffm Küker
D: I'm sorry
lol Pferd.
I always remember that one wrong!
Uffm Kieker?
Dont forget her goldfish memory, pferd
Kuh?
Küken!
🤔
chick D:
you'd need a new article for that one though
Ahhhh.
und dem neuen Küken
yeah
Just for future reference
Der lustige Hund spielt mit der wütenden Katze und dem neuen Küken.
You are really doing an awesome job though cbell.
Now do the fun stuff base
😊 thank you so much
I am waiting for it all the time!!!
Fun stuff? Like what?
LOL WHAT
THE NEXT STEP BASE
you guys are so nice ❤
solet wants torture
😄
Both of you, actually
WHERE FLAPPY WILL BREAK BASE

Thankies Chuck. ^^

lel
wow ive learnt german for quite some time and now i know what chicks are called
Chüken
woohoo! i knew a word ❤
oh god solet
Chückchen
Actually, I am, just not when I'm on this server. 😄
hood solet
👀
Shit base
In da hood
wow, keeping it hidden huh
Flappsy gonna make you
He's Australian, the fuck did you expect?
I hope
Lol what Chuck
He's out there, calling people snarky Australian insults by the minute
Although I can only think of one right now
nvm that
There's me who can be also savage when I want to 👀
Me too chuck
can Küken be used for girls?
no
🤔
No
lol
k
Unless you want them to punch you
why tho
Well, you could.
BASE NEXT STEP I WANNA SEEEEEE
okay, I add it to list of things to say to gf
SOLET'S IMPATIENT LOL
maybe won't say that one
Wtf chuck
Cold and delicious icecream is the favourite food of the French Flappy.
Mäuschen is a good thing to call ur gf
NO PLEASE. I CAN SMELL GENITIVE
Forget the first the.
wth
Yo pferd
German 'comedian'
achso
Try saying "Möchtest du mal einen echten Hasen sehen?" to your gf when you are in the mood
why?
you have to have the straightest face
would u like to see a real rabbit?
🤔
Kalte und leckere Eiscreme ist das Lieblingsessen der französischen Flappy.
lol what
It's an ad that informs people to control their children's behaviour on the internet
🤔
well, i would use das Eis
Yeah
SOLET WHERE ARE MY POINTS
We don't really say eiscreme
Kaltes und leckeres Eis ist das Lieblingsessen für dem Französischen Fkappy.
knapp
Hot coffee without sugar is the favourite drink of the helpful Chuck.
wait, how do u say close in german
knapp
Fast
Wew, Bell doesn't look to spoilers. Excellent, Bell. ^^
Schließen.
gender. it's das.
Okay, that gives me an idea, Chuck.
Also flappsy is a girl
Kaltes und leckeres Eis ist das Lieblingsessen für der Französischen Fkappy.
Hot coffee without sugar is not the favourite drink of the helpful Chuck.
Dont forget that bell
Edit it for that.
and is für dativ?
Kaltes und leckeres Eis ist das Lieblingsessen für der französischen Flappy.
Heiße Kaffee ohne Zucker ist das Lieblingsessen des hilfsbereiten Chuck.
naja noch nicht
(für)
wew
drink = Getränk
It's different from food
Also what gender is kaffee
Der?
yup
OH.
Now fix
Heißer 🤔
Bell, für takes akk
Oh yeah, true
Cbell, how does für affect the noun case wise?
Slow Kelsey
Sorry chriskun :x
Wow.
You rude weeb
😄

Flappy, I changed the sentence though, I think you missed it: Hot coffee without sugar is not the favourite drink of the helpful Chuck.
If you use s-gentitive, does the article and adjective stay in the nominative or change as well? Kaltes und leckeres Eis ist die französische Flappys Lieblingsessen or Kaltes und leckeres Eis ist der französischen Flappys Lieblingsessen
I thought we weren't supposed to be handing the answers out!
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist das Lieblingsgetränk des hilfsbereiten Chuck.
Chuckes
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist nicht das Lieblingsgetränk für dem hilfreichem Chuck
Ah shoot Base
sonder?
I just added a "not", Flappy.
sonder 🤔
So you just have to add that.
was ohne a better choice?
yes
the only choice
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist nicht das Lieblingsgetränk des hilfsbereiten Chuck.
LOL
You don't know how proud I am right now, Flopps
WHO UNREACTED
Right so one tiny little thing here
yeah lol
Na
i would use von anyway
proper nouns are special in Genitive because they can also not take the -s
oh, didnt know that
Listen to the chucker
des Chuck is just as correct as des Chucks or des Chuckes
Did someone see my question? 😐
Ban henbri
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist nicht das Lieblingsgetränk für des hilfreichem Chuck
Because Chuck acts as a proper noun here, a name
Yeah.
I did henbruas but I don't know the answer.
I haven't seen any of the discord that has happened

bell, für doesnt go with dative does it
i don't know
Bell ignores us :(
Having another alternative than Gen here is hard, isn't it? 🤔
thanks ❤
if you wanted to use für, it would be für DEN, but then i dont think it sounds natural, still, it is understandable
Don't forget you can always look at a chart like this if you're not sure: https://www.lsa.umich.edu/german/hmr/Grammatik/Praepositionen/Prepositions.html
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist nicht das Lieblingsgetränk für den hilfreichen Chuck
i think the Germans would say das Lieblingsgetränk VON Chuck
Remember this.
Nice handwriting
Should put that in #resources tbh
no bell, für den Chuck or just für Chuck
Yeah, that's the one I'm used to
^
all of my teachers hand those out
why not des?
Des is Gen.
Für takes accusative.
because des is genitive
for masculine and neutral
When you have a preposition, it basically overrides other case stuff.
...wo kommt das für überhaupt her
Heißer Kaffee ohne Zucker ist nicht das Lieblingsgetränk für den hilfreichen Chuck
Fällt mir grad auf
naja darüber hab ich schon gesprochen. Das klingt seltsam
möchte allerdings erklären, dass für nicht zu dativ passt
Okay, next one: Everyone likes bright sunny days.
it is correct now bell, but it sounds weird, germans would use Genitive
try it next time
okay.
Jeder mag helle sonnige Tage. c:
Jedermann mag helle sonnige Tage.
Good morning everyone!
ooh ❤
beautiful
Hey Macaco. Lucky you.
u both forgot commas
That's awesome 😄
I pretty much just need to walk down the street
Commas?!
The hell are commas here
do we need commas?
helle, sonnige Tage
I don't think so 🤔
hes afk
Ich würde einen Beistrich setzen. helle, sonnige Tage
yes, but this is used in english too
oh i dont need to anyway atlas already confirmed
Yeah, commas are used for lots of things.
Everyone likes bright, sunny days
it seperates it so it doesn't look like a sausage of adjs
But the thing with adjectives is it's not hard to read it either way, so it's not important.
Jedermann mag helle, sonnige Tage.
Whereas if you misuse other types of commas, it is hard to read.
Yeah, it's really, annoying sometimes, too
well, i would say Alle mögen helle und sonnige Tage
But in this case I'd use und to seperate them
That killed my brain Macaco 😄
LOL mission accomplished
Hahaha unfortunately people do misuse it quite often
That's dangerous. 😄
Jedermann mag helle und sonnige Tage.
because it's most likely an overusage...I know xD but if you're not sure in the first place
it's most likely an overusage
especially as a teen
ugh, commas just get thrown everywhere 😄
do germans really say Jedermann, in sentences like this?
Hahah
Commas aren't that hard.
Those things are also difficult for native speakers. 😕
I know, instead of saying that, he could've just given us a couple of days worth of comma practice lol
Anyway, let's do another sentence with adjectives. One of you other B level people: give Flappy and cbell a sentence with adjectives.
In English.
Please ❤
Ya'll are so motivated 😄 I like it
Magst du weiche, flaumige Welpen?
❤
where are the other ppl
IDK Nico
chuck said brb in 10
They floppsed away
I am here.
both means fluffy but the bad thing is i dont know which one is used for dogs in german
Look, the mods are online 👀
mine said "downy, fuzzy" too
Well, it's fine. We're only practicing declension anyway.
so I'd assume I could use it for doggos
@quasi merlin
Flauschig
lel hello mikah
fluffig can work too, so says my gf
🤔
yeah, the word in my head was fluffig
fluffig also works
while flaumig is kinda for eggs
no flaumig 💔
NEW SENTENCE:
Above him was the pure blue sky with the eternal Sun, which never sank below the endless horizon.
👀
oh wow
#pferdwantstokillus
D:
nothing you can't manage
thats some B2 C1 stuff
naw
gotta go take a shower l8r
Enjoy.
latergator, get good and clean
oh yes i do love showers
in fact, i would like to marry showers
ok sorry this is too much
clean your mind too
Über ihn war der reine blaue Himmel mit der ewigen Sonne, die nie darunter den endlos Horizont absenkt.
🤔
endlosen
ahhhh
@twilit garden can u check
Über ihn war der reine blaue Himmel mit der ewigen Sonne, welche nie unten den endlosen Horizont versank.
Pferd can check. 😄

hes gone
Since he says the sentence is easy.
Wow.
😐
LOL
*Über ihm
what do you mean with "reine blaue Himmel"
it's a location
Pure blue sky 🤔
"The pure blue sky was above him" okay fair play
Translating 1:1 is about all I'm capable for tbh
Yeah, that's why we've been doing the shorter more focussed sentences. Quick and easy to learn with.
For A level.
yeah sorry mb, but you both did well
No problem.
Über ihm war der wolkenlose blaue Himmel mit der ewigen Sonne, die nie unter den endlosen Horizont (ver-)sank
we got pretty close
i don't know if pure relates to blue or the sky
I'm fine with not getting that perfect :33
A pure blue sky is liek a sky that's that really bright and clean clear blue colour like you see on a bright sunny day.
So anything that fits that in German is fine.
in German you could say "wolkenloser (blauer) Himmel", "azurblauer Himmel" or "strahlend blauer Himmel"
Thank you.
"klarer blauer Himmel", maybe?
that too
Flappy and cbell, don't worry about the whole sentence but just make sure you look at the adjectives.
i think "strahlend blauer Himmel" is the most natural way of translating it here (at least to me)
It sounds nice.
The declension too?
ja
thank you so much for your help ❤
Of course, any time. ❤
Someone else could give you some things to practice, but otherwise... I think it might be cool if you both write maybe a paragraph or two, about anything, like a story scene or whatever you like, and use as many adjectives as you can (within reason).
And post in #writing
okay. I'll work on that today!
Good night, Base!
Y'all orrible.
Good night Base!
No particular reason. I'm just memeing a bit. You're all lovely. ❤
y'all arremobile
❤
I like driving in my arremobile.
Good night Base.
Hey Flops. Translate the man you saw is dead.
``Das Mann, den du sahst, ist gestroben."
Flappy, please.
^

Of all the nouns, the gender of man should be obvious.
I won't even comment. Or I wasn't going to. Until Casca spoiled it.
Das Mannchen
THAT'S UGH.
Der Mann, den du sahst ist gestorben
Also try not to mix your tenses. Stick with one.
Der Frau works, depending on the sentence it's in. 😄
😮
But it would be dative. 😉
I feel so dumb
Or genitive.
Das Mann - Flops 2017
