Man why do German Universities or at least mine find it so difficult to list basic things about the classes lmao. Like half of the classes have complete information, detailing ECTS, projects, exams, class expectations..and then the other half of the classes gives nothing lmao.

Looking at a class right now that looks interesting, but its an Advanced Seminar....so i am a little cautious about the work load...but it does not mention anything on examination, projects...its literally a one sentence description saying what we will be covering...

That's just nonsense. I've been using Linux since the 90s and it simply makes no difference whatsoever. What are we talking about when we say we're setting it to German? The effects are negligible. That's why I asked what he meant by that. Most of it will remain in English anyway, or it will simply be a mix of German and English. In terminal emulation, almost everything stays the same, except for some programmes that also offer partial translations. The adjustments are mostly only for the supported characters and the time, etc.

Whether you use German or English in the graphical interface makes absolutely no difference. What rarely happens is that there can be layout problems because some German terms are slightly longer.

If you have to set your OS to English to get along with it better, you must be incredibly incompetent. 😅
