My breaks tend to be from something above A1 to A1
idid osd i failed and switched to telc
I didn't take A1 but I did A2 B1 and B2
I passed C1 this year
Tbh I have no idea because I quite literally did nothing in sprachschule
I was a regular class skipper
thats honestly huge achievment
Hmmm idk what my German accent sounds like because I think I can pronounce most things correctly
Somehow still got very high scores
can u give me tips for b2 exam?
ig ur a natural talent
Badass aye
Yh everyone's different
Still cool tho
I think B2 is very grammar and practicality focused
Well done
are u taking telc b2?
yes
While C1-2 is more "are you on par with a native speaker" esque
I haven't looked at other exam boards
But I do see a pattern in that being the case
oh same i failed my schriftlich lul but passed mundliche
Tbh language immersion is the key
Yeah, I think they measure how "integrated" you are with the language, but God it's difficult, it's not like the IELTS exam at all
i failed on osd hh and know iwill pass the telc exam
c1 means u have fully grasped the language
I didn't speak any of my native/first languages for two years when learning German
Exactly!
thats good if u have confidence
you can be a teacher lol
What languages do you speak?
Which ends up in me speaking Dinglish(Deutsch-English) now TwT
Okay wait English, German and...?
do you have tipps for exam i starting today and idk where to begin
Hard question
Native: English, Cantonese
First: Mandarin
Grew up with: Indonesian, Spanish, Japanese
Can speak: German
Woahhhh
ican speak 4
u can do the mock telc
It's normal for Hong Kong especially if you have international schooling
Imma say this in Arabic but mashallah 😳
Repetition and immersion is key
ive heard that telc exams are repetetive
yea but its just to know how the paper goes
it is yea
But tbh I haven't spoken German in a year
So my vocab has gotten a bit wonky but I think my accent hasn't changed
Y'all got me excited about language learning fr haha
oo a fellow hong kong person
Yepp
did you move out from germany ?
I'm surprised to see Cantonese people here
I did
I kind of explained why in the other general sub
im hakka but speak cantonese at home
is there any specific reason if u dont mind
My grandpa is hakka I think
Speaks some sort of dialect
I didn't really pay attention
Because I don't speak Chinese well enough
Sounds crazy but if you scroll up I have a looong explanation in general 1
also telc b2 mundliche could be tricky, cuz when i did it, the moderator just randomly asked me a question, completely out of the format
They do that a lot but it's normal for any german exam
I did IGCSE German as well as GEOTHE
Very normal
ok then ill see it
yea thats fair
Honestly I used to tutor kids for English
can u still speak canton?
And I just tell the parents to throw the books away
I can speak but I can't exactly read
ich auch
If u guys wanna VC I could probably explain more about the exam
chinese ppl tend to memorise everything, without understanding
i hate it cuz i for one a chinese cant memorise im just really bad at it
so my vocab isnt as good but when they speak, its really bad
But my native language(even tho the europeans disagree) really is English
Because I learnt it before Chinese
Arsch
What defines your native language though
I speak, read and write English better than I do Arabic, does that make it my native language?
The language you grew up with imo
You can have multiple
But it doesn't have to be your bes
t
ouh i understand, ur situation is similar to mine
thats what we call a banana
hahaha
I guess I'll just put Arabic and English as my native languages haha
First language is your best and most fluent language in some cases
But I just use it as "whatever language I seem fluent at despite not growing up with it"
u can put both
For example mandarin because I learnt it in school
I've always been faced with this dilemma when asked what my native language is
Which one did you grow up with?
Honestly native language is as much an identity thing as it is a technical thing
Speaking wise would be Sudanese Arabic, because it's what I speak at home, but everything else is English
So it could be both
Did you just learn it very well from afar as an adult or did you spend time in an English speaking country or go to school in English
Went to a British school my whole life that's why
It doesn't mean it's your native language even if you spoke Englisch in school
I see ok so you did grow up with it in school
True
Good example would be the Hong Kongers from international schools
Yeah, in school mostly
if u think ur english is up to native level, then sure why not
Second this
ok thank you we can also connect so that i reach you out when am stack
Yeah so like every subject was taught in English, people talked in English etc
Kinda weird
Idk really, most of the time I can't tell if I'm good or not. Too much imposter syndrome
Oh well, I'll just put both ig
Thanks 😛
idk man whats one supposed to do then
Full on immersion
And practice
I really don't think there's another way
Just this difficult, annoying and very unnerving truth
So inconvenient
Ich bin A2 und möchte ich mann mit mir deutsch sprechen
Immersion isnt working for me
honestly I think one should just stick to what he can make progress in
for me as early A2 I feel the only things I feel are making progress are vocabulary expanding and nicos weg
Do what feels right for you tbh
Don't force it
But also get some guidance if you can
Good day. Does anyone here have interest to set a regular daily German study group? We can learn some German words or say something in German together
I'm interested but when would be the scheduled time?
I was wondering if this Discord already had something like that. I'd love a casual weekly meeting or something to get some practice speaking. I feel like that will be the hardest part for me. I can hardly recall words in English 🤣
Does anyone know if there is a Norwegian learning server?? I’m also trying to learn since my moms side is from Norway but I can’t seem to find one 🙃
Also if anyone has any book recommendations for learning German lmk!
Thank you!
There are several, try https://www.reddit.com/r/languagelearning/comments/5m5426/discord_language_learning_servers_masterlist/

This FAQ explains rules and advice for using text AI tools such as ChatGPT.
- Do not answer any questions by using AI-generated text.
- Do not ask for AI-generated text to be corrected.
-
No fact-checking: Tools like ChatGPT are very good at writing texts and often provide answers that sound good, but they are not capable of fact-checking their own answers.
-
Fake information: It’s very common for these programs to make up fake or incomplete information, which is explained convincingly but is mostly wrong.
-
Non-deterministic: The information is also partially randomly generated, meaning that if you ask the same question multiple times, you will usually end up with different answers.
-
No language knowledge: It shouldn't be used for grammar or vocabulary questions, as it doesn't understand linguistics, nuance, or how a native speaker might actually use a given word or grammar point.
-
Missing context: When correcting texts it needs to understand what the writer was trying to express. As such it may miss mistakes or correct things that don't need to be corrected.
-
It delays the development of important skills in language learning.
Relying too much on AI generated texts or solutions may get in the way of learning the necessary skills of language acquisition, such as how to look up words or phrases in a dictionary, using critical thinking, or actually applying learned concepts. -
AI is not designed to guide learners.
If you ask an AI a question, it will provide you with information, whereas if you ask a human, they will ideally ask you to show your understanding and offer advice on how to find the answer. -
AI output requires scrutiny
AI output must be verified, but beginners to German or to language learning often lack the knowledge or experience to do so.
- Ask ChatGPT to come up with some story ideas that you can write about.

Hello I' m a native french speaker and I research a native german speaker ( or C2 level) who wants to learn french so I can learn also german. Thank you DM me
Theres app tandem exchange could help you
thanks guys
i just genuinely had to ask if someone (united kingdom) meant 2:30 or 3:30 when they said "half three"
because i thought it would have been 2:30 because that just makes sense to me
and it turned out to be 3:30
so... i guess i accidentally internalized the german way of referring to time instead of english? that or english just doesn't make any sense (which imo is more likely)
Hi
That’s so real 😭 I’ve accidentally switched to saying ,,also” instead of ,,so” in English and uh I get a LOT of weird looks 💀
i'm was also a little jarring because after i asked someone else chimed in "they're british not german" and it had the same effect on me as if i had been caught in the middle of a crime
the crime here i guess not being very aware of how english tells time outside of "hour number minute number" form (because i rarely ever use "half past" or "quarter til" or whatever else)
you'll go to prison for life for that...

Hallo mein Freundliche
@primal sleet @open nimbus prefer using your personal calendars instead of the bot for important long-term reminders. While the bot does work in theory, if it happens to be down for any reason at the time when your reminder is supposed to fire, you won't get one. So just to be sure, I wouldn't rely on it for important things.

whats the way
to add "seun"
because "er isst seinen Hund" and "er isst seinen Hund" - you dont know if he eats his own dog or someone else´s dog
so "er isst seunen Hund" would be eating his own, and seinen would be someone elses
this is a thing in swedish and latin
but in english and german its not, so its unclear and just bad
like we must atleast make this a informal term come on
"there were two knight, one took his sword, but the other one took it and broke it. Why did he break his sword? Because his sword was not his, but his sword" - you cant understand this
so instead of "he took his sword" - you dont know if its his own or someone else´s - in swedish you have "sin, sitt, sina (depending if its neutral word or plural)" to say that it is the subject´s of the sentence sword
like how can you live without this
(afk)
interesting
we have it similar in polish, the word
mój - mine
twój - yours
jego/jej/jego* - his, hers, its*
swój - someones own
it does make it much clearer what belongs to who, so it is indeed a cool idea
*the neutral forms in polish are... complicated. quite a lot of its use is rather archaic, and still applies to the patriarchal language system in which man or he is seen as the neutral
however, some linguist and LGBTQ advocates propose some alternatives, including jeno instead of jego as the possesive pronoun
just as a side note/fun favt
o
but seun. like its german, die beste Sprache der Welt, so why dosnt it exist. Sie liest seunes Buch, like its so clear.
also "seun" like the pronciatunoiociationtion is icon like "sein"
o
you mean you pronounce it like sein?
no "eu" is iconic aswell as "ei" like it fits that it would be seun
also makes it look like the latinic version
true true
(but just to make it clear you still say "Ich esse meinen Hund" and "Du isst deinen Hund" and "Ihr esst euren Hund" and "Wir essen unseren Hund" because there is only one that it can be. like only when its "sie, er, es, sie" its seun if its its own)
yeah, i figured
ye
that would make it different from polish. swój literally just means 'someones own' and can refer to any person
ich esse swój Hund
you can translate this into polish literally, retaining every single 'his' so it wouldn't make sense. gramatically it is correct, but hard to understand.
buuuut, you can also replace the 'his (implied his own)' with swój, instead of jego and it becomes clear.
sadly, no
you know Nominativ, Akkusativ, Dativ, Genitiv?
polish has 7 cases instead of 4 XD
There is already grammar in German to solve that problem.
Mianownik~Nominativ - swój pies
Biernik~Akkusativ - swojego psa
Jem swojego psa.
Ich esse meinen Hund.
Warum esset ihr eure Hunde
"er isst seinen eigenen Hund" well yes but the problem is that no writes like that
yes
yo @dawn quiver
According to whom did you decide that no one writes like that?
lol since when???
Eu quero gozar em todos vcs com carinho
that is how i would write that tho
place emphasis on “ate his OWN dog, ain’t that crazy???”
Wie geht’s leite
@neat ember
@sour idol
Yeah, you need to say "He took the sword of the other knight"

Hi everyone?
Welches Handy
Smasnug s23 Ultro
@tepid schooner to answer your question, I just like it more. I can express myself more that way and I can describe stuff better in it.
Also most of my friends don’t speak German, so it’s the language we use to talk with each other.
Ok, understood. One more thing tho: You don't live in a german-speaking country then ig?
I do.
Ich kann nicht auf die Sprachkanäle zugreifen, Hilfe
How come you don't use German that often then?
I mean, apart from interactions with your friends
I just use it when talking to family or teaches or if I help the coach with the younger kids. But that’s kind of the only time that I use German. Since my friends are mostly on discord.
Alright👍🏻
Hi! Can anyone help me start with German again? It has been well over a year since last I touched German with any intention of actually improving it and over that year I have felt it slip between my fingers. I don't want to lose my German complete. I wish to relearn what I have lost and improve upon it. Has anyone had a similar experience or just thinks they could be of some help? I would apprieciate anything thrown my way. Thank you
Hallo! I’m A1 German - I know very little. But if you’re okay with me speaking a mix of English and German I would love to talk to you
hello everyone I hope you're all doing well. If anyone already passed the B2 exam can give advices on a good strategy to prepare for the exam.
thank you in advance ^^
so if I have no one to speak with in german is just watching things a good plan. Obviously studying it with textbooks or what ever as well
man someday I will come here and write a 5 sentences german text effortlessly
I’ve had C1 German, then 5 years gap of no German at all, I literally couldn’t remember how to talk about simplest things, and now I’m back at fluency level, still slightly behind on grammar, but getting there 💪
What level you used to have?
I was a burgeoning B2 if not a little more advanced in some respects. I am now less than that. Between an A2 and B1
I managed to get the level back in around 3-4 months, but I was living in Germany at that moment. I had a lot of speaking and listening practice, I guess it’s hard to imitate the language environment fully, but I recommend watching German content, switching your system language to German where possible, get some regular speaking practice, maybe find a willing native (i was lucky to befriend one :D), texting in German also helped me a lot, even though my brain still gets lazy to do it.
I can recommend some German shows, but they often only have German subtitles on streaming :/
Another thing for me was listening to music, reading books I have read before but this time in German, just straight-up relearning words in stacks (I use reword, you can connect it to smart book and read books in German + learn words at the same time)
I also went through a lot of German grammar tests for different levels to identify the gaps in grammar , as I sometimes remembered some high level rules but had no clue about basic things
That would be great if you could recommend some! I would prefer only German subtitles anyway 🙂
Do you have any music suggestions, shows, things to watch, etc?
I watched Türkisch für Anfänger, Discounter, and Dark
Music—i like Edwin Rosen, AnnenMayKantereit, Mayberg, for some exotic experience you can try Team Scheisse 🥰
I was also watching some young adult movies, something like German Divergent, but Idk if you’re into that kind of thing 😅
I think I've already heard of two or so of these, but never gave them a try. Thanks for the kick to do so!
@weary pivot Do you happen to know any good audio books or anything of the sort?
Uhh, I was listening to the Bible, I didn’t really need anything else 😭
Oh 😅 we are very different people
Well, I do read books, I just don’t really enjoy listening to them , if that’s what you mean. Quite a strange comment
Good luck with your journey back to the language
Thank you very much! Good luck on your continued journey!
Usually you dont lose fluency
Watch how to sell drugs online (fast)
Fun and they speak in german
Great and captivating series
Bitte was 😭 🙏
I'm fr
It's a show about a teenager selling drugs across Europe
Seriously it's good
After 5 years of not using the language at all?! If you didn’t , I envy your brain
But I really doubt you actually experienced that 😭
Klassiker haha kennt jeder
Well Im speaking not anecdotally - but anecdotally speaking its been about 3 years with almost no usage of Spanish and I havent lost much and im B1, not fluent
You will certainly see a level of attrition
If you were fluent, that fluency leaves you pretty fast. However, it’s also retained quickly. You can read about that on the internet, too
Although there are edge cases the linguistical consensus is moreso like dropping from C1 to B2 after an extended period of time
No the science shows otherwise
Well, provide proof. And not studies about bilinguals, that’s different
Language attrition is mostly studied on bilinguals, not just learners
“Any problems that you may encounter are more likely to be the result of a competition for attention and selection that takes place in your brain between your two (or more) languages.”
This is a good summary of how it typically works
"They found that there was no change at all in language proficiency over time. Participants who had taken their exam 50 years ago and not used French since performed at the same level as recent school leavers, and as well as those who did, on occasion, use French. "
This is literally proves me right, and not you:
Researchers highlighted, however, that people will not suddenly find themselves fluent in a foreign language after years of disuse, but the study does suggest that the basics for the language remain in the memory, and therefore it would not take a great amount of learning to pick it back up again at the point where it was left off.
Yes because I guarantee none of these people were fluent in the first place
Also, this is a rewrite of the scientific article, let me point out, one article. This is no proof of anything
If we are to see those who were B level at best retain the information we can extrapolate that to fluency
No, we can’t
But I grew tired of this conversation, you can’t refer to science and then give one rewrite of a scientific article as proof 😅
Shows little understanding of how science works
I very much understand how this works
Bahrick, B.P. (1984a). Fifty Years of Second Language Attrition: Implications for
Programmatic research. The Modern Language Journal, 68(2), 105-118.
Despite the extensive use of English in various aspects of life, Hispanic immigrants maintained a high level of Spanish proficiency.
Isnt even equal you would expect this to happen with a higher chance than the case I am speaking about
Have you read the article? ☠️
Even the part you’re quoting is about naturally learned language, not instructed. And the whole article is about how it’s different from the classic approach…
Yes which would be much more likely to be forgotten and it wasnt
That part surprised me
And if you hop on Google Scholar and search through language attrition, there is an extensive body of research about how people lose fluency but not the basics
Someone having learnt a language as a child and moving somewhere else where they learn a different language is much more likely to experience language attrition than someone who learnt a foreign language to fluency as a teenager or adult
You should define fluency
That might be our misunderstanding
Some consider B2 to be fluency so even dropping from C1 to B2 ... and that right there is virtually a 50% reduction in ability
It also depends how you define fluent
Able to express oneself with little hesitation overwhelming using correct grammar/vocab, able to understand virtually everything (within reason), able to read/write to the above standard etc
i dropped from c1 to
to a point
a low one
what about master's
also, it should be forbidden to promote that directly unless you get a perm from a mod
so you say no one loses fluency ?
Hallo wie gehst
huh
hallo, es geht mir gut, und dir?
ich fühle mich so unwohl, auf Deutsch zu schreiben, es ist furchtbar 😭
aber ich muss fließend werden und so weiter...
Hallo! Ich heiße Dylan. Ich freue mich, alle kennenzulernen 👋
Ich wünsche dir viel Erfolg!
Herzlichen Dank!!
You can experience attrition - it is just unlikely to truly lose a high level. Im talking maybe you become rusty but after 2 weeks of practice you get the flow back (but your passive skills are still rather good)
I just finished half my workbook, it's hitting me that it doesn't matter how much I self study. I'm never going to speak well until I immerse more aggressively because language skills is not about remembering rules and solving exercises, rather, it's about building one's intuition.
I just want to finish covering grammar fully and build a decent vocab so that I can enjoy consuming content.
I don't think you will cover grammar fully. Maybe what you mean is that you want to finish the basics?
Yea, I want to work through my two textbooks
Routledge Basic Grammar and Routledge Intermediate Grammar
It is hard to notice improvement until you compare months of work to your previous self
It's just frustrating knowing that I'm going to work through these textbooks and not see immediate payoffs
Well, everytime you learn a word or truly understand a concept you kinda experience "immediate payoff" but as an overall, yes learning a language is an extremely long process (to be fair most things are)
That's true for anything though, whether it's textbooks or other things.
Idk, I remember doing math textbooks and being able to implement those solutions to other areas. But year, the best payoffs came much later when I used those concepts more elegantly
Well yes, you can immediately implement anything you learn.
When you learned how to conjugate verbs, you were immediately able to use that.
But it probably just didn't "feel like" progress since it's only 1 small step.
That's true, but math textbooks are different too. Most people experience being stuck with a particular concept, rather than not being able to memorize it (as is the case with languages), and then when it finally clicks it's a very rewarding moment: it unlocks the next few pages of the textbook
In german, everything makes sense, it's not hard to grasp. It's just that I won't memorize it right away
Anyway, just ranting about my decaying neural elasticity
It that so?
I mean, maybe with advanced grammar it's more complicated
But as far as I can see, grammar rules are very simple
I looked it up and it seems straightforward, relative to doing theoretical math. Like, I could have be tasked with doing a problem set of the Partizipialkonstruktion and if I have a reference textbook to lookup while I craft my answer, I'd be able to achieve a decent score. That's not the case with complex math problem sets because I wouldn't even understand the reference material
Partially sure but language recall doesnt allow that in speaking
That's why I'm speaking of complexity and memory. In recall, you're trying to fetch these rules from memory. You were able to construct the rules in your mind (but not memorize them) in a relatively shorter time than what you would in math. Math it's the other way around. You're not even sure what you're trying to memorize because it's complex, but when it clicks, it's straightforward to memorize because you'd see this concept everywhere and you can practically carry out spaced repetition effortlessly.
Maybe if you are good at math
i don't understand why my kitchen is a girl according to german
die küche
what's the correlation between that and "girl"
better conclusion to come to why does german want my kitchen to die
die küche
In linguistics, a grammatical gender system is a specific form of a noun class system, where nouns are assigned to gender categories that are often not related to the real-world qualities of the entities denoted by those nouns. In languages with grammatical gender, most or all nouns inherently carry one value of the grammatical category called gender.[1] The values present in a given language, of which there are usually two or three, are called the genders of that language
@fading vine i've bolded the important part
i was joking

good morning everyone i hope yall never experience what i just did
Was registering for my b1 exam, and since im under 18 my guardian had to register for me. So natürlich i thought my mother had to make an account on the goethe website instead of me. Well lo and behold all the Quittungs have her name instead of mine (although i put my name under participant´s name). And because i was so confused i missed the registration date i wanted and now my exams are like 2 weeks apart. Ive emailed them and let us see what can possibly happen now.
Goodluck -_-
Please update me, I need to know if I’ll need my own account for my exam
Sure lol, they said theyll get back to me in a week
I need a good teacher
Oh sorry,
we pray for the delay will never hinder your success.
@limpid token
What is this
huuh
a grammar topic
But not B1 nor B2
Partizip II is absolutely a B level concept
Huh seems I got a long way to go uggghhhh
Don’t worry you got this :)
Hehehe said that again
You have prescribed 257 bonks to @neat ember.
What?
Innocent until proven guilty.

Only if there is a strawberry option.. I am not weird.

Actually tho now that I look at it it's not that confusing you can do it in a lot of languages
Or a mayo jar...
Ofc
very good
I can't believe strawberry is erdberee
Man I opened a game of thrones episode german dubbed
it felt like im lightyears away from understanding it lmao
I can understand that pain
I try to use the English language with German subtitles… so I get the hang of sentences but still can’t understand 🤣
idk why it's erdberee. it would make more sense for something like rotberee
Übung macht den meister 💪
what do they have to do with straws?
Tbf Game of thrones dub is not for beginners rather watch shows with modern time
Not a fan of dubs but they can come in handy for learners
Its earth+ berry
Dunno, it kinda makes sense to me
idk how a live action could be handier than an animation
i mean if you're watching something that's natively german sure
but other than that it just sounds weird and works equally as an anime for example
I did not make that claim but yeah
Dubbed live action shows are good for people who wanna rewatch them in German
Since they are already familiar with the story
So they would bother more with understanding the structure of the language
yeah
Try watching it first in English, then do the German dubbed as an exercise. It helped me a little when I already have it in mind what is being said so I could relate to whatever unfamiliar German expressions said.
dude I watched it multiple times in English
Well German is not that easy at the end haha
hallo
Ok
You have prescribed 460 bonks to @narrow edge.

is there a good way to tell words that require "dich/mich" etc apart, like a pattern?
No, I don't think so, you'll have to learn it
And the case required to form it
Guten Mittag zusammen
Mittag? I just woke up but thanks
Jaa bei mir auch so

Feel free to just stay here and meet people, and practice English for free instead of having to exchange anything.
Never have i ever seen a speaking cat with a pizza in the hands
Also touching grass
Can we have a frog role for the frog kingdom?
I don’t quite understand.
Like @frog
That comes from another server.

And you would have to ask a mod for a new role here. The Frog tag next to my name comes from another server.
hallo
How do you say "You can't go" then?
Oh wait, du kannst nicht gehen
Gibt es hier jemanden, der sich auf die B1 OSD Prüfung vorbereiten möchte?
does german and netherland language have similarities?
like if someone speaks german can he understand nethelandish
Both are Indo- germanic languages like english
I think it depends on the person; whenever I listen to dutch music I understand the general gist of what is being said but wouldn’t be able to genuinely translate it
Both of them are same
i see
I saw your dp this is bazz force bridge near my home
in what universe
yea iv'e been there 2 yrs ago
my German teacher told me both of them are same
Peoples who know German they can also go to Netherlands and the peoples of Netherlands they speak german
But hoflich
Not like german peoples
😂😂😂
ahh that is true, they are mutually intelligible
I can see that to be true, it’s especially people in the older generations that are more rude towards people who don’t speak german/don’t speak german well
Germans are so rude
But the peoples who are in Netherlands they are so polite
❤️❤️🤏🏻🤏🏻
Don’t generalize people.
maybe they are from northern Germany? they do tend to have a n accent/dialect that sounds similar to dutch and might think both languages to be alike, but I think for example people from southern Germany would have it harder to understand dutch y’know
I recently went to Amsterdam and not many people spoke German
Dmn
.
I haven't seen many rude Germans.
Please don't generalize like that
I’ve been there once and they are pretty nice I guess, I love their Frikantl so much
my message is getting deleted wth

No.
But there are similarities.
You don't understand much but some things sound very similar.
so it would be much easier to learn dutch
How is Taki and how are you?
🤓🤓🤓
Better and good.
How are you?
Which ones and how fluent are you in them?
my next goal is dutch. if i make it out alive from deutsch...
Good luck
I am fluent in all of them
That's nice.
Do you also know German?
meanwhile me flexing with 4 languages🙏🏻
That’s good to hear.
I’m somewhere between alright and somehow alive.
No worries 🙄🙄
Alive is alive.
Na na naaa nana
how is that possible damn
Thank you for making me smile for the first time today.
you gotta major in international relations hahaha
You are welcome
||5€||
I will pay Taki in cow pictures.
Deal.
wonderful.
Bcz after school I used to spend my whole time for this shit
She should have received two pictures now.

I’m wondering who of you two is happier about the pictures right now.
Hmmm i wonder
As long as you are both happy that’s all that matters.
You have prescribed 168 bonks to @tribal mantle.

I didnt know this was the English language discord server
Only cuz he claimed fluency in 8 languages
Oh, then I'm with you. Go get em lmao
And English is in 99% of cases one of the best foreign languages a person has
Some folks be thinking that just knowing a basic or an intermediate level of the language makes them fluent
Yea im not sure where the lack of understanding comes from for people who do actually spend time learning
I know someone who claims he can understand russian when i know for a fact he only knows 3 words (curses) and its a genuine belief he understands it for some ungrounded reason - he doesnt even learn languages
This one is wild
Totally possible tho
Occam's Razor
Kinda what I’m sayin tho I think the most probable thing in this situation is that someone actually speaks 8 languages
When someone claims that with imperfect English, the language most likely to be their best, it is not the most probable thing
This is all extremely simple deductive thinking
Like look at Indians for example I have no idea if this dude is Indian but lots of Indians speak English Hindi and one or two local languages let’s say that’s four languages, then with a bit of work said person could learn four more…Indians don’t always have perfect British/american/whatever English but it is enough for them
It is a native language for them
Did he say these eight languages were all foreign to him?
