Danach begann das Fest! Chalanthe isst fast nichts, während die Gäste viel essen und trinken und dadurch mit der Zeit lebendiger und betrunkener werden. Die Königin nutzt die Chance, diskret mit Geralt zu sprechen. Die Königin ist sarkastisch, aber Geralt ist auch nicht wirklich unterwürfig. Was für ein Gesprächsstart!

Geralt und die Königen unterhalten sich. Gerald denkt, dass die Königin jemanden töten lassen will. Er sagt, “Ich töte nie für Geld”. Sie sagt, “du solltest nie ’Nein’ zu einer Königen sagen, und ich benutze dich nicht für so etwas simples.” (Not sure about the last bit, couldnt find something better.)

Geralt sagt, dass die Königin vielleicht seinen Beruf missversteht, wie viele andere bisherige Kunden. Er erklärt, dass es in Cintra viele Ungeheure gibt, die er ohne sich zu verkleiden jagen kann. Er betont, dass er nie einen Menschen getötet hat, um Geld zu verdienen, und so wird es bleiben. Ich glaube, dass das die Königin beleidigt, weil er sie mit normalen, armen, dummen Leuten vergleicht. Wenn es klar wird, dass die erwähnten Kunden auch mächtig sind, bedroht sie ihn indirekt, aber deutlich, und sagt, dass er einfach tun soll, was sie ihm sagt. Noch mehr, soll er sie huldigen und respektieren!
Und heute wurde der Titel „eine Frage des Preises“ erwähnt!
