Request: thunderbird

Thunderbird for Android (previously K-9 Mail) now uses the Thunderbird icon.
This seems more like a challenge. Fwiw I can see simply a mail icon would work fine for Thunderbird.

as exciting as the prospect of drawing birds is, I think I will try some other time

i think... bigger envelope, drop the tail from the envelope, drop the wrap-around and focus on defining the head+beak?

or if we can get the tail+wraparound to work with a lot less detail that'd be good

center-rght looks like a bird opening really wide and eating the letter

i think center-right is on the best track, though - i wanna think about keeping the head, removing the wraparound, and expanding the letter to fill the space that opens up

i get wanting to match firefox but come on, fox tail around a globe does not translate to bird wing wrapped around a piece of paper

i want to try square letter, no chat bubble, and simpler tail

pebbleos has a few iconic logos in older forms, and i think it is charming

granted that is because the art is a decade old, it's not a stylistic choice

For the 25px, I think it would sell it more, if the right wing (bird's left) was pointed at the tip.
