That is the end of the first day for me. Focus mostly on design. I have already made some icons and emoji rebblewatch

And regarding watchface I think I will end up with simple Pebble style icon in form of the analog watch with recognizable Rebble arrows on the bezel edges. Still not sure about shadow effect. I always liked the "Big Shadow" watchface. Icon will animate on each minute with famous Pebble "spider" effect animation. Plus digital time and date and customizable color background.

Photo shows just a single bitmap rendered on single watchface layer. I will update repository tomorrow.

Note that octagonal shape of analog watch icon was adjusted to make corners point at full hours. Regular octagons don't do that.

Ah and BTW I don't feel entitled to make Official Rebble watchface. But when I got back to Pebble thanks to Rebble I wanted to have something to celebrate Rebble efforts. To my surprise there was none Rebble inspired watchface that I could use. So I decided to make my own. And because it's also heavily inspired by Pebble UI design I called it "pRebble" rebblewatch

After first coding session today I have basic watchface code with background, time and date (see screenshot). Still no images. First vector image is coming right after break.

Plan for today is to have all graphics and analog time in place. With some luck I will start with first animation even today.

@alpine sand I accidentally removed images from first thread post. That resulted in lack of image preview on main #1043156099282509844 channel. I can't find a way to add new image there. Is it possible?

Circle as digital time background was so natural to do.
Also abbreviation in month name makes sense.
Shorter date fits better this bottom part.

Yes, it looks much better on the watch. Screenshots don't do it any favors in case of colors.

Hackathon is over but development is never over!
Plans for next version:

Add icon. Icon already ready but I don't know how to add it 🙈
Add settings page.
Allow to change background color.
Multiple background patterns.
Vibrations on bluetooth disconnect.
Vibrations each hour.

Oh I have great idea. I will make background color turn from green-yellow-orange-red based on battery level. On black and white it will be from white-gray-black. Oh, can't wait to add that!

It took me whole night of coding but I did it rocket
Version 2.0 was just released and we have customization panel with:

Custom background color.
Background color can show battery status, green up to 60%, blue up to 30% and red below that. On black and white screens it's gray up to 30%, then white.
Custom background patterns. Only 2 for now.
Custom pattern color.
Hide pattern color on Bluetooth disconnect.
Vibrations on Bluetooth connection change.
Vibrations on each hour.
Custom date formats.

I'm done 😅 I'm not planning on doing anything more besides adding maybe 2 or 3 background patterns, updating screenshots for store and potential bug fixes.

Main new feature is dithering. I don't have any other plans for this watch face. Unless there are feature requests or bugs I call this project done. rebblewatch
