It has to be five exactly, can not be more than five. Its a coding parameter.

I rewatched it, yeah I think it only registers when you're in the area at close range.

try doing it in the area at close range but still being in stealth mode.

Managed to get it done by getting chased by about 10 angry Frenchmen and then just shooting it at them and hopefully getting it to fire and hit more than five. 🤣

Then shot the bezerk grenade at them after since they were asleep already and got that one done too. 😅
