#unconvincing assassinations

like a lot of assassination throughout history wasn't necessarily so direct and we have always made such piss poor usage of poisoning at a distance
the game results in being a murder fetch quest, a Hitman parody really, over a convincing assassin
Naoe should be utilizing servants, disguises, and proxies more, far more discretion. While Yasuke would be such a useful public cover and distraction opportunity for deploying shadow methods
learning guard meal times and commanders routines, when they shit/piss/eat, this may sound dreadfully boring to some gamers seeking only to slaughter with high end graphics, but this would be a convincing assassin
when they write letters to families, stealing those letters, poisoning their contents with remade ink, so many possibilities. I am bored of such simple, tedious murder really
we have alluding to such possibilities but not actual gameplay mechanics to illustrate
(this is not constructive feedback, just complaining because I know nothing I hope for here will be implemented.)
assassin's creed: world of assasination
i agree with your idea, its why I enjoyed the dark mod and splinter cell, not having to kill to achieve most objectives. as you said earlier though, this would be very similar to hitman
like we should be exploring all the interesting methods of ancient assassination
they weren't all bloody or by blade or these silly tools, they were far more creative, specific to their regions and we never delve into that. it's very predictable instead
it's why some of the most interesting stuff in AC as a franchise for me was reading the database instead because it actually delves into that. the gameplay? meh... so meh
this is me with quite a few franchises ngl
I think it would work if AI had 'predictable' schedules, like they do in say splinter cell or hitman. Where you can tell when they would sit down at a table and drink from a cup, for something like poisoning.
how many men have died from a courtesans perfume, from a well timed STD before medical knowledge was prevalent. plotted disease and mechanations held privy to the fewest scholars. or just even accidents, plotting for a building and roof to collapse, messing with furniture assembly for far more than pranks but fatal events
i think STDs might be taking it a bit too novel for AC ngl. Made me chuckle though
